Trauma based adoptions?
Its the women's fault its always their fault?
Incest have it anyway?
rape have it anyway?
You'll go to hell for killing the next super genius?
Sex is sin?

Im ashamed of myself for getting pulled into the debate. Im also sick and tired of these bloody fascist pro-lifers with their misogynistic attitudes to women.
It has nothing to do with being misogynistic attitudes toward women, it has everything to do with the sanctity of each and every life conceived.

No, Im talking about blaming the woman for it and not also saying the man should be legally forced to experience consequences for it.
I'm not blaming the woman for it at all. Both the man and the woman are equally responsible for what happens between them.

Yet you arent advocating legislation forcing the man to experience any negative consequences as a result of having sex that results in an unwanted pregnancy.
Child support seems like a pretty negative consequence to me.

A guy can skip out of it pretty easily with no consequences.
Not really, the guy can get in a lot of trouble for that.

Not really, the guy can get in a lot of trouble for that.
There are hundreds of documented cases in which men and women skip out on child support.
And I am not talking about child support: I am talking about labour and pregnancy, and all the risks associated with that.
Well there's nothing you can do there, as obviously a man's body and woman's body are made differently to handle different things.

Oh there are ways to make them experience the same things; easily. Pain inducing drugs and such.

Women are more misogynistic than men - they're the ones making bad names for themselves.
Yeah, and I voted for all but two of them.

I'm sick of the debate, but I am FAR MORE SICK of abortion. It is almost ALWAYS done for selfish reasons and has killed millions of innocent human beings that should have had the chance to live.

I am sick and tired of the debate as well. I get too frustrated trying to make narrow-minded people understand that a fetus is not an individual with separate rights, that it's rights are subject to the host in which it resides (the mother) and that people don't have the right to tell people with a fetus how they will make decisions about their body shall function.
I am also tired of internet debate on such intense topics. No one seems to take what you say seriously and valid points that you make are ignored.

http://forum.bullshit.com/images/icons/icon13.gif It is not narrow-minded to take a stand against the killing of unborn human beings who have a right to live. To refer to this conviction as "narrow-minded" is a cheap shot and a sick observation. Taking a stand against wholesale murder for convenience is anything but "narrow-minded."

The KKK is frustrated trying to make narrow-minded people understand that blacks aren't individuals with separate rights, and that their rights are subject to their masters. The difference is, they don't give up. They can't, however, prove anymore than you can.

Hey, uh, I'm sure their mommas already informed them that they were niggers, you don't have to call them 'blacks', hehehe.

I believe this is one thread that we will never agree on. I agree with you. I read your post though sometimes it's far too much for me. Sometimes, I read it and I'm thinking he's pretty damn smart. Of course, then I'm thinking, I wish he would speak in general terms. I only went to college for two years. I sucked at biology and science. I'm more of a numbers person.

Sorry... I am not sure I understand what you are saying. I think that you agree with me but you don't like technical terms that I use? Please clarify.
let me tell you I have never and will never say it is okay or not oaky for a woman to choose what is right and what is wrong with her body, when it comes to getting an abortion.....but as a response to your remark on a guy can get into trouble for not paying child support, and that it is a consequence....I say that child support being a consequence is Bull Shit.
I am a happy mother of three wonderful children, and never ever thought of aborting any one of them, but I will tell you my ex husband is over $11,000.00 behind in child support, and the state says oh sorry we are trying, but you know he just quits his job and then it takes forever to find him again, and the process starts all over. in the mean time, I have a baby, and am working my ass off to feed her, and cloth her, and he is scott free, paying NOTHING!!!
so is abortion right?? dunno...but I still think the woman has the right to choose. Men have NO consequences!!!!!

Well first off , welcome to bullshit.com. With that said I guess it comes down to when you believe a fetus is a human. Most that argue that abortion is wrong bring up the point that life begins at conception. The fetus is a unborn child in which case that makes abortion murder. Some believe that a fetus isn't human until certain trimesters. The problem I have is that abortion can be done at almost all stages. This to me is a very hypocritical. Either a fetus is a unborn baby or it is not. I view abortion as mostly an insensitive solution to correct a mistake you have made and not being able to take responsibility for your actions. I also believe that abortion is wrong.
Another example is our law system. If someone kills a mother and an unborn child regardless of what trimester the baby is in the first thing the D.A. does is charge that individual for not one murder, but TWO! That same mother who was planning on having an abortion anyways before she was killed can walk into an abortion clinic and have the fetus removed from her body and no crime is reported. How in God's earth does that make any sense.
Any man that leaves his children (not necessarily his woman) is not a man at all. I agree that the law needs to enforce laws more aggressively for deadbeat fathers. I just hope that you haven't become a man hater because of a loser.
Hope to hear from you.

I understand why you feel the way you do, but the circumstances you have described seem largely an exception to the rule and not the rule itself. I doubt that your ex-husband will get off 'scott free' and that as soon as he is caught up with, he will surely have to face those consequences WITH serious penalties (possibly including handcuffs)... being without a job and a true failure in life, I doubt he's really enjoying himself with or without paying the child support.
Do you support women who use their kids as a way to trap the fathers? That is also very common... the old "give me give me give me or I'll take the kids away and squeeze out every dime you make" routine... believe me, men have bullshit to deal with too.

sorry to jump in here but im sick of this women get all the shit routine, guys get dealt crap all the time from this crap too, so dont make it sound like women are the only victims, while some men get away with things you've posted it is not always the case, and ruins it when u only look at circumstances that make women look like saints and guys look like asses. Its a case where some men are to blame, and some women are to blame and both are to blame, and dont give me the "men do it more often" no women just get away with more crap plane and simple because you want to be equal but at the same time you want to play off as the victim in everything, you cant have your cake and eat it too ladies. oh, and im not sexist, i think women deserve equality, but you gotta take the shit too is all im saying. Get rid of the double standard.
Pro-Choice for both potential parents, period.
