people tend to be stupid anyway... "warning: after heating, contents may be hot" a warning label I read once. It isn't restricted to americans.

on a packet of nuts I read "may contain traces of nuts" well, I'll be a 26-stringed banjo, traces of nuts in A PACKET OF NUTS!

On a chainsaw: "warning, may cut wood and legs"

uh... may? is there a chance the wood and legs would have chainsaw deflecting properties?

another chainsaw: "do not attempt to stop with hands, feet, or genitalia"

Also I saw people working on a road, and a sign that said, "detour either right or left" it made me wonder what other direction the helpful road workers expected the drivers to turn... straight up like in a cartoon?

Heh... that was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. And to everyone with the dingy warning signs & labels, Bill Engvall says 'here's your sign'.

Just for fun.. boneheads losing at 'Who Wants to be a Millionaire'.

my wife asked me a good question last night...wtf do they pust intsructions on condoms, pads and tampons?...seems pretty self-explanatory...i explained to her that because a lot of americans are suing these companies because they didn't have such instructions...it's not the people suing that were idiots, it's the juries that heard these cases

yeah, I have to admit I don't really blame anyone for suing for these things to make large amounts of cash. Some of them are stupid though.

Agreed. As stupid as I think others are for suing McDonald's for the coffee being too hot, I'd do the same for a quick million, because hell, why not? :D

I saw a recent documentary (forget the name) that stated that two thirds of american children couldn't point to the USA on a world map unless the name was written on it!!
It clearly proves the governments intentions of creating an anti-intellectual population. Dumbed-down, our children will look to the government for direction. It's so sad.

i actually agree with you here...but it isn't the government that supplies the curriculum, it's the teachers...they're more interested in training children to be politically correct than in actual education.

The government does set up some guidelines on what must be taught, though. There is a federal Secretary of Education. I don't know what her job is, but I know she's in the presidential line of succession. In addition, programs like D.A.R.E. and similar programs are government sponsored, as are programs like T.I.P.S., which not only encourages employees who make house calls to report on whatever is in the house they find "suspicious", but also has representatives who go around to schools, bribing (literally) kids to tell the cops if they know anyone who owns a gun.

Teaching federal agenda in schools is inherently dangerous.

okay, that's stupid.

It's easy to think that considering they have turned you into a crackpot conspiracy theorist, but I don't think it's the case.
