A question about recycling in the landfill section? Why not? It makes perfect sense!

What do you mean by "it's become a political thing"? The only reason that I don't separate my glass, plastic, and paper into their own bins and set them curbside is because, in my town, I'd have to pay extra for it. But then again, I live in the middle of BFN.

Here in Pennsylvania, they are telling us that recicling is getting too expensive
and is becoming an issue between the Repus. and the demos. The demos wants to recible regarless the const the Repus. want to stop it because its too expensive. So I have to idea whats going on on the rest of the Country.:(

Recycling any non-alloy or non-compound material is a waste. Recycling actually causes a lot of polution, since it is an industrial process, mostly air. There are two real purposes for recycling, the main one being saving money, the other reusing materials. It is actually cheaper to recycle plastic rather than make it. Same thing with steel. It is cheaper to recycle steel rather than bonding nickel and iron. Things like paper, on the other hand, are a waste to recycle. It pollutes the air and wastes money. Also, it is actually better to cut down the trees, since loggers legally have to replace each tree they cut down. It rejuvinates the forests.

An addendum to my last post.

I did some checking up and I was wrong about one thing. Recycling plastic isn't cost effective.

But I do encourage you all to recycle metals.

There is no payback for the effort that goes into recycling. At my house we don't pay for recycling, but we've also found a work around to paying for garbage too. The garbage company doesn't care what's in each bag and the Recycling Company won't even touch the stuff if one little thing looks out of place. Does it help me any to recycle? I'm sure not seeing any difference in my world, so let the goverment find a better way to make the earth last an extra decade on their own.

Recycling anything but aluminum cans and other metals like korono said is a waste of time, money, human, and natural resources. And like he said in some cases its actually worse for the enviroment. FUCK. Thats bad. And people always ask me why I dont like recycling, and why on earth day I wear my anti-recycle shirt. Save the enviroment my fucking aching ass. recucle metal. none of that other bullshit.

Sooner or later they'll be able to change the molecular structure of matter. Then they'll be able to make any material they want out of plastic, rock, metal, garbage, annoying dogs, and murdered neighbors.

Awesome! Then I can finally do something with this corpse that has been spewing smells in my basement for so long!
