When a woman who gets raped decides to get an abortion, she makes an assumtion. Namely, that she's not going to get raped again by her abortion doctor. Put yourself in the mindset of a scared and confused girl. A masked stranger is fooling around "down there", and penetrating you. Not with his pen0r, but with instruments. Actually, for all you know he could be penetrating you with his pen0r. You can't really see down there when you're lying on the table.

Now add to that the numerous testimonies by women who said they have gone in to abortion clinics, changed their mind at the last second, only to have their objection completely blown off with a "just relax". She's not even given a choice at this point. This and many other reasons are why a lot of women who were raped and had abortions have said that their abortion was like a second rape.

I cannot speak for all abortion clinics, but several of them are not like you describe. I understand you object to abortion, and I also understand that some clinics and doctors may be immoral. However, I know a few clinics, and I would like to describe them to you.

It's kept very sterile, and the doctors make sure the patient is comfortable with them. If the patient is not comfortable, they change doctors or refer them to another clinic. There are counseling programs, and they do not abort until the women complete one of the programs offered. They make the women call someone to oversee the operation and to help them home and care for them afterwards. And the woman is free to change her mind at any time, and the doctors ask right up to the point that she goes under.

I understand you do not support abortion, and I respect that, but that does not excuse mud-slinging and generalization.

First of all, it's really easy to say that, but you can't prove it. Second, it'll probably still seem like rape.

I must agree with General.

Tequila, How do you know what goes on in an abortion clinic. Keep in mind the patients are kept asleep during the procedure and most of them don't remember what's going so, if they are getting raped you won't know yourself if you was under this procedure. So please don't say that the Dr.'s make the patients comfortable when they are sticking God know's what in their vagina.

As for the counceling, they don't offer counseling once you go there. You get to see a councelor YES, but all the councelor talks to you is about what procedure they are using on you . Once it's done and over with they send your ass home. There is nothing comfortable and smoothing about that.

I know those things about a few abortion clinics because I worked at them as a volunteer. That's why I said a *few*, because I recognize that some clinics may be as you describe them. All I'm saying is that not all clinics are sponsored by Satan--compassionate people work there.

Most methods of abortion involve either ripping the baby into many pieces with a vaccuum, corriding his or her skin, and/or delivering the baby and letting him or her die of exposure. I'm sure they mean well but that's not a compassionate thing to do.

She makes a good point. The compasion of the people doesn't excuse the fact that they're still helping you to murder someone. It's an argument that points out if Satan is involved, he is only making these people compassionate in deceit, to calm people down and make more of them comfortable with such an evil act.

SOme of these Clinics tell the raped victim they are pregnant, they scape their uterus, make them thru the pain of thinking " I got an abortion" and guess what they werent pregnant, I know of cases of people working in these places and they told me they keep urine in the refrigerator form a pregnant woman for cases like this. Dumbass, like the pill is any safer. Read up on it before you make any assumptions. Also remember that the pill is only given for real early pregnancies until the 8th week. AFTER the 8th week the surgery is needed asswipe!!!!
