Well, do you?
About 95% no and 5% yes (but technically still a yes)
Almost every self-proclaimed psyhic is probably a fraud, while a small minority are able to seek out information from the spirit world. Also, the information they are able to seek out is rarely beneficial.

I vote no. If these abilities really existed then we would have undeniable proof. We don't have proof at all. Psychics can predict one thing and one thing only and that is about how much money they will make from suckers each day.

Usually, yes.
Digest this one... my dad tried to trick a psychic once. He had her read the future of his brother that died the year prior (pretending he was alive of course). When she turned all the cards she got confused a second and finally said "this man is dead!"

"We don't have proof at all."
Maybe real psychics don't want their mailboxes shattered by lunatics like this guy (http://tencommandments.org). Or they are in Las Vegas making fortunes.

I do believe there are a select few out there who are a bit above the norm, but overall, I still would rather base my beliefs on facts, actual proof.
There are way too many frauds in this field that are mostly after money and attention, to be able to put any truth to it.

I don't believe it's possible to talk to the dead. It is also not true that we only use 10% of our brains, and that because of this we might learn to use more of it that unlocks these abilities. I do believe, however, that if it were possible to be born with psychokinetic abilities, the ability to read minds, etc. that it would be the government's best-kept secret. Therefore, I can't be certain that it's impossible. So my answer is I don't know enough to be certain. But it's not possible to talk to the dead.

Bob: I got shot in the head yesterday.
Billy: Shouldn't you be in the hospital?
Bob: nah, s'okay, I got shot in the 90% of my brain that I don't use.

Exactly. It is, however, true that only 10% of our neurons will be active at any given instant. Were this not the case, you'd go into a seizure. Interestingly, it seems that more intelligent people actually "think" less than less intelligent people, i.e., less neurons active at any given moment.

I can guarantee that few people think more than me. Does that make me stupid? How ironic...

I definitely know what you mean, but that's a different phenomenon. Your brain just doesn't have to work as hard to think so much. :D

No I don't. If there were a such thing as psychics, they would be able to predict the winning lottery numbers, they would be able to prevent things from happening (like September 11th), and there would be no missing children!!!
If psychics existed, we would have a nearly perfect world....BUT of course, we don't!

reasoning?...well, think on this...science has already proven that thoughts are electrical impulses....otherwise known as energy...it's my contention that we all emit energy of sorts as well as recieve energetic impulses at varying levels...i can see the possibilities of some sort of kinetic abilities such as yuri geller, that spoon-bending freak...i'm certain that the possibilities exist, as the universe is endless

Maybe they have, and they haven't told us. There was some woman a while back who won the lottery twice though, I'll have to find that again.
"they would be able to prevent things from happening (like September 11th), and there would be no missing children!!!"
Unless of course there were some sort of lunatics that thought they were possessed by the devil and would burn down their houses if they informed us. And your argument assumes they would use their powers selflessly, for some reason... And what do you think the government would do if someone told them correctly that some huge terrorist attack would occur?
Also, I believe everyone has some psychic abilities, We just are unaware of how to use them. Of course, expecting those who can use them effectively to be right all the time would be like expecting a professional basketball player to make every shot he takes. They seem to work for me often. (I refuse to attempt to prove anything.)

I'm pretty sure Gellar is fake though.

There's a problem with that, though. Every nerve in our body communicates with electrical impulses, yes. Electricity, however, does not simply radiate from our minds. There are very strict rules that govern how electricity moves. That is true for all forms of energy.
The only way this would make sense is if the electrical impulses get converted into some form of energy of which we are unaware. The problem with that, though, is that there would be unexplained losses of energy from the human mind. As far as I know, this is not the case, as any energy lost can be attributed to friction (heat). It's an interesting thought, but it requires a lot more than just speculation.
