Metal Gear Solid, Star Trek: Elite Force, and Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic are some of my favorites. I could never finish MGS though because the version I illegally downloaded freezes up right at the end. What happens is you get caught in this room and gas comes in, and Otacon is supposed to hack into the system and dissipate the gas and open the door, but he doesn't open the door and you can't do anything.

There used to be a time when games were CHALLENGING and could entertain for hours... I'm bored to tears with most of this new shit. 3-D shadow rendering and DVD-type story breaks does not a good game make. I like all the older ones.

Doom, Half-Life, Frogger, Duke Nukem, Mario, Tetris, Card Games, Pinball... whatever the hell I could stick with and enjoy.

Unlike modern online games, there's plenty of challenge playing against others, but I have a lot of free time on my hands so I look for a great presentation in a game.



My believe one of the best RTS is still Starcraft, it's still my favorite RTS. My favorite genres are propably shooters and RPGs, which I believe is a great mix, I still think Halo: Combat Evolved and Knights of the Old Republic are awesome. KotOR is a great Star Wars tale that I believe puts the sometimes idiotic movies to shame. Halo: Combat Evolved I believe is just such an awesome single player shooter on an epic scale with plenty of immersion and comic relief to back up the action.

Meh, I like the original Red and Blue versions of Pokemon, but that's probably more because I was a kid when it came out.

Mega Man X on the SNES still kicks inconceivable amounts of ass. If you haven't played it you don't know what you're missing. That game had some killer music, too. Unfortunately, it was the only Mega Man game I've played that got it just right.

Every Mario Kart game has been fun.

As for Zelda, excluding the Philips travesty (and if you don't know what I'm talking about, consider yourself lucky), every game after Zelda II: The Adventures of Link has been good. The original Zelda was good too, albeit a tad challenging (not necessarily a bad thing).

Most people either love or hate Final Fantasy VIII, but I thought it was a fun game. Sure, it wasn't that hard, but I don't really like spending six hours a day leveling up so I can beat one boss (the main reason I never finished the original Final Fantasy), and the junctioning system was awesome.

I'm not an avid gamer, but I know what I like. :D

they have also inspired, as I said, games that had such capturing as a side feature, the hunters in World of Warcraft were able to capture beasts to fight by their side. I also find the games themselves fun. Like a more family friendly version of cockfighting.
