I don't see our law makers, giving up a tax on tobbacco products, when they have lobbyist, for tobbacco. If it could ever be a law, by the popular vote. then we all, as a country, will have to dig deep in our pockets, to fund the NEW TAX, that will be imposed. Because the law makers, don't like quitters.

You really didn't make any sense there. Are you trying to infer that a tax is about to be put on people who decide to quit smoking? Or that the government is going to throw in a smoking tax that is deducted from everyone's paycheck?
Anyways, they SHOULD just keep raising the taxes on the purchase of tobacco products. If you're going to kill yourself then at least you can make some generous (forced) contributions to the government.:D

Hypothetically, What if "Big Brother" were to ban tobbacco use all together? NO more cigarette smoke, NO more cigar smoke ( politicians favorites), NO more two inch round tins of worm dirt, for people to spit where ever they want? Wouldn't that be great? If even only smoking tobbacco were banned? The taxes that tobbacco products produce are extremley high. And I personally, don't think our state officials will tolerate that kind of revenue loss, that a tobbacco ban would incur. So the only solution left to absorb the revenue loss, from this hypothetical ban, would be a new tax for everyone. It'll be equal and just. Because the government dosn't want to discriminate against any one. Don't know what they'll call it. Don't know how they'll get it. We've all been annoyed by smokers habits, and if enough people, get the attention of the right law makers, who knows. Maybe a smoking ban, EVERYWHERE! Watch what you wish for, you may get it. I started this rag, based on the one freakazoid started. And all the replies to his had similar responces. I just want to bring to light, what this controversial subject could produce someday. Would you believe me if I said I didn't smoke either? if The state officials, from each state, will create a tax that everyone would have to pay, to make up for the loss, due to no more tobbacco sales. You don't believe the state governments, are going to give up that kind of revenue quietly
