Speak anything you want. It is unconstitutional to FORCE someone to learn a particular language.

Now....if a person is smart, they will be sure to learn the language that is most utilized for commerce and most utilized in the local court system. They will do this if they want to move through society with few obstacles. If they choose not to learn the most utilized language, then it is they who have to suffer the inconvenience. It is not up to us to punish them for it.

I'd say yes. But do it quickly before they become a big enough miniority to make it their language.

Yeah, of course English should be the official legal language of the country. Speak whatever you want at home, or with your friends, clients, etc., but English fluency should be a required outcome for both public and private schools, and it should be a requirement of citizenship for people who were not born in this country but later become citizens.

It's just the Demorats pandering to special interest groups as usual.

SPEAKING FUCKING ENGLISH!

It really sucks how here we have as many Mexican stations on broadcast TV as English ones. When I was growing up, there were 2. (reacon it has anything to do with poor POS beaners not being able to afford cable?) I find a good movie in the TV guide to watch and damned if it ain't in Mexican :mad:

English: 2,4,5,8,11,13,21,27,33,52,58,68
Spanish: 23,25,26,31,36,39,49,55 and a few others (not clear enough to watch cause they probably satellite the shit in stragiht from across the border)

1. It's almost exclusively illegals that can't speak english.

2. One who cannot speak english is both a danger(to themselves and others) and an inconvenience.

Heh.... that exact same joke was on an episode of South Park, the one with the future "gooback" people. Hilarious!

And, yeah, that's really fucking annoying and I deal with it all the time.

Yup. "Goobacks". Season 3 I believe.

People from the future travel back in time through some kind of time goo they created. In their future all races and language have mixed together, so they speak some kind of garbled language no one in our time can understand. It was so poor in their future that they traveled here.

They work for practically nothing, claiming everyone's jobs, and pissing people off.

Your 'chicken sandwich' joke was in there. Kyle and Stan are at the counter trying to order a cheeseburger and the 'goobacks' can't figure it out and keep gurgling out 'chicken sandwich?', which pisses the kids off, of course.
