The US seriously needs to rethink there idea of its borders. I live right next to the US CANADA border and it drives us crazy how we cant just go up to canada and go shopping. I am from minnesota and there is a lil tiny chimmney at the top of our state and it is a country slash water locked piece of land and we have to drive through canada to get there. It is a headache each and everytime we come back through customs. But at the same time it is the largest unprotected border in the world. So we live with it. At the same time people around here say we should completely shut down the US MEXICO border. If we do that then we have to close our border. This is so fucked up. Me personally would like to see the mexico border shut down. Almost completely. People can only fly in and out.

The Berlin wall was referenced but the difference is we are NOT trying to control our people we are trying to control population, crime, overcrowding in schools, overcrowding in prisons, overcrowding in emergency rooms, and a strain on our natural resources.

We are simply trying to keep those who arent supposed to be here out, a much different attempt than that of the Berlin Wall. This is between two seperate countries not one that is currently divided, this is our land and not theirs, it is too often easier for others to come here and lay stake than it is for us as americans to do so.
