View Full Version : A new approach...

so abortion is a big topic and ruffles people on all sides of the argument. I am not here to condone or vilify abortions. I am simply putting a new idea forth. By new idea, I am in no way implying my solution is novel, instead I am intending to show the reader that I have never come across a solution similar to this. And now, to the topic at hand...

To kill a human in any form is a heinous crime. Some people believe that we should "kill them all and let God sort it out" while others have a "live and let live" policy. So who should decide who to kill and who should not? Who gets to decide the validity of abortions? Instead, we should think more about the future life that we intend to destroy. Will this child have access to opportunities that will help them become a strong, productive member of society? Will the parents be able to afford this child (both mentally and financially)? I think it pretty much comes down to this idea: "Who decides who lives and who dies, and what are the qualifications for such a decision?"

In my opinion, abortion should be illegal. Don't get too excited, I think exceptions should be made. For example, if the pregnancy involves complications that may be fatal to the mother, child, or both, then that may be an example of a case where abortion might actually be a good idea. "To save a life, we must destroy a life." This is not an easy decision. It should only be in the hands of the mother of the child whose life may be at risk. Another example is in the case of rape. A woman who is pregnant as a result of a rape may not be able to convey the proper emotions and feelings necessary to raise that child properly. She may not be able to love that child. You could argue that she could have the baby and then give it up for adoption. This is a legitimate point. However, who are you to make that decision for someone else.

Now that I have told you why abortion should be allowed, allow me to tell you why it should be illegal. When you perform an abortion, you are killing a living thing. I am not going to argue over this point. From the moment of conception, a zygote is made of cells that are alive, therefore, the little sac of blood cells and mucus (as a friend of mine so crudely put it) is alive. PERIOD. Abortion is a tool used to end life. It should not be considered a common everyday thing. Like war, when we desensitize ourselves, we lose feeling and compassion that are necessary human emotions. Just because a woman or man cannot control themselves or use adequate protection to prevent pregnancy does not give them a free ride to go and have an abortion performed. You danced the dance and had your fun, now grow up and deal with the reality of your decisions. You will punish future generations for your stupid mistakes by depriving them a chance at life. You should be ashamed of yourself for thinking like that.

I have heard women say, "My body, my choice." That is all good and well and I can agree to that as long as you, the woman, stop using your body like a pin cushion for every man that has an itch. Use your choices wisely, or shut-up and deal with the consequences. It is that simple.

As for a long term solution, the answer is education. Children must be taught about sex. If they do not know any better, how can we expect them not to repeat our mistakes for generations to come. As for who, where, when, and how the education should be done, that is not my topic. My topic is abortion, and in that regard, I bid you a good day.

Not really a new approach though is it.

My thought has always been that I would never choose to have an abortion, but it's none of my business if other people choose differently.

If you religious fuck-ups think abortion is murder, then let it happen, as your "god" does, and allow him to pass judgement and punish the offenders.

Your idea about education is commendable though.

Welcome to the board.

Hey EE, looks like you found a minute to do some posting. How's the baby?

If you religious fuck-ups ...blah blah blah

I thought that having a baby may mellow you out a bit. Apparently not.:D

I've heard that men get a shot of estrogen just when their wives give birth, to make them a littler kindler and gentler around the baby. Maybe that doesn't happen in all cases.

If you say there's a point you will not argue, you're missing a lot of fun.

But education is the key to... anything, really.

"Welcome to the board" appears to be a nice thing to say.

And thank God. :D

I believe abortion is wrong, but I believe the implications of making it illegal are even worse.

C'mon Limbo, you wouldn't want me to change would you??

Thanks for asking guys, mother and baby are both wonderful.

Simplicity, I never mean to offend, I just sometimes like to prod a stick into the hornets nest, just to see what happens. ;)

last time I prodded a hornet's nest (yes, I made intelligent decisions as a child), I was punished dearly for it. Didn't stop me from trying again, and again it hurt just as bad. :D

One minor comment (or maybe not so minor)...

RE: "Some people believe that we should "kill them all and let God sort it out" while others have a "live and let live" policy."

It amazes me that any abortionist and those that support "abortion on demand" would have the nerve and be so ignorant as to preach the philosophy of "live and let live." That is really amazing!!!

is only women with a soul, common sense, survival instinct and sensibilities even think to choose it. Thus sometimes we may be aborting people who are valuable.
The people who just pop out a rugger usually produce the most worthless offspring. In the past, mother nature decided. If the mother was ignorant, stupid, lazy, couldnt hold a man who could provide- then it died, and that was that. It was cruel, but life's never deviated from that inviolable rule. I worked with a Mexican who had a little baby brother in Mexico. But madre couldnt feed it so it died. She buried it in a shoe box. Now any retard who can spread her legs twice can make a kid. That explains the excess of utter morons populating the planet in the USA.

People like you and me are usually very pragmatic when it comes to such ruthless practicalities since we know what life really is for most of us, and we know we will be paying for the results eventually. If you are a govt officicial or politician, however, your priorities are completely the opposite. You want mindless workers that will pay taxes, never disagree with policy, and willingly go to war if and when you want them to. You do not want people who oppose you in any way, or have the means or desire to organize and fight back no matter what you want to do. If you run a "democracy" with term limits and impeachment in the shadows, there are limits to what you can try to do. Especially when your population is heavily armed, by right, and willing to fight you to the death to preserve that. As a result, we are led by muckity mucks who spout lots of hot air, claim moral high ground, try to side step the constitutional process to push through whatever new tax, regulation or odd bullshit they own a hard-on for and then disguise it. And today in 2009 that is exactly what is going on.

Politicians really do not want abortion. They want ignorant worker subjects who they can tax, regulate and manipulate as they wish.

Notable politicians who were fanatically ANTI abortion: Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin.

Thousands upon thousands of years without no abortion technology and then once it's out, it's a God-given right? Someone must be awful proud for inventing such a fancy little killing machine that could stir up all this controversy. If there truly is any justice in this world there will be harsh consequences awaiting these people.

Hate and fear mongering. Also we have had abortion technology since before Jesus' time, but it wasn't safe until recently. We also haven't had safe surgical practices until recently, does that make it not a God-given right either?

I'd kill the fucker then tell her to have the kid. If she didn't want it I would suggest that she go to an adoption agency.
