Definitely a farce, a couple of corrections though, religion does exist, just look around, and yeah nobody arees in war that's why they call it war. I like to keep things simple and sweet pretty hard while talking about something as ugly as religion. If you tally up all the deaths on the entire planet from earthquakes, natural disasters, illness, cancer, plauges, auto accidents, plane crashes and the civil war, and the 2 ww's and Vietnam, you still won't come close to all the people who have died in the name of god or religion. Religion is pretty much a farse, the wool over the eyes of the masses. I don't mean to sound synical but I did grow up a catholic, did the private school thing and church 6 days a week, so I am a little educated on the subject, maybe a little more than most. Religion is probably good for one thing, finding a moral center, but there is a flaw in my thinking, what if somebody's moral center is all fucked up? The funny thing is the catholics make fun of the muslims, the story about the boy holding onto a tail of a jackass that leads them to heaven where they enjoy all the pleasures of the flesh, and hang with ala, is just absurd, but we are supposed to believe that some chick got pregnate without having sex, raised this bastard child who died for everybody else because of what he believed sounds pretty far fetched as well, objectively all sounds like pretty cool stories but nothing I would put life lessons to. Religion was formed for one reason only, to gain power over the massess, thats why people are referred to as sheep in the bible, lead them like sheep, whoever controls the god controls the masses, look in the middle east, they blow themselves up, imagine the power you have to convince people to do that, look at Bush, he invaded the wrong country and he said because god told him to do it, or it was what god wanted or some shit like that, normally people get locked up for that shit, look at dommer he said the dog told me to do it, at least the dog was real. I think a person is smart but I think people are, irrational and unpredictable, they used to burn people at the stake for heracy, looking back we all cringe at how stupid people were, but that's us, we are the same people, we just need to get off this religious kick and move forward with evolution, two things hold us back, religion and politics. I'll bet we get rid of one or the other and they will both disapear, religion is politics and politics is religion. Think about this for a sec, what was the last thing we cured? or the last medical breakthrough, I think it was pennicillian, religion prevents us from useing stem cells to cure a whole lotta shit, but it's also political because they don't want cures, they need the repeat business so politicians make out like bandits. All I can say is I am glad they spent that billion dollars on that restless leg syndrome treatment because after about 8 or 9 hours on the couch my legs would get restless. Well gotta run........ glad I got here (thats a load off, I needed to vent, thanks for the site)
