I played ball in college, and was a whore for football for ten years after.

I lost interest in Football about ten years ago. I appreciate all sport, but football is no longer on my radar.

Baseball is more my speed these days. Relaxing game. Puts me to sleep on Saturday afternoon.

But I do appreciate the sport, as I stated. So crack that beer. I'll be out enjoying the fall foliage. :D

We played our first game of the rugby season on Saturday. I'm black and blue. We won though, but it was only a "friendly":D.

Does European Rugby get coverage over there? Our Guinness Premiership starts this week. I'll be supporting London Irish.

E.E.- I've seen it here and there, We probably get it as much as you get american football.

Sorry, I missed that post of yours.
But, great minds think alike, yes? ;)

E.E., It depends on our Satellite or Cable Television carrier. My pad in Florida has Satellite TV and I have not found Rugby in any channel listing.

My place up north has cable television and that provider has the European Sports Network. They show all soccer (your football), and Rugby from England/France/Germany/Spain - you get the picture.
It's pretty cool. I like watching Rubgy simply because it's a freaking rugged sport. I admire the brass balls it takes to play it. I played it a bit when I was in France. Got one HELL of a bloody nose! Lucky I did not break it.

I admire European football (our Soccer) because it's an endurance sport, which I personally admire. Not that Rugby does not have endurance built-in, but I think Soccer is a tad more aerobic in the intensity. My opinion.

My soccer team are garbage too (Leeds United). We were top of the league about 6 years ago, but spent too much money and ended up millions in debt. Now currently in our 3rd division after 2 relegations.

If your looking for a good team go with the Bears. They are great!!! My husband and I watch football every Sunday all and he likes the Panthers and the Browns, but I think they both suck butt.
