I know that Windows isn't known at all for their Video Editing software, but I can't seem to get Windows Movie Maker (WMM) to work at all! I am trying to edit a few of my large movie files, around 900mb a piece, and take out a bit of time from the front and back of them. Problem is, that even after I spend 20 minutes uploading it to WMM I can't do anything with it! If I move it into the timeline, the program stalls for a few seconds and then crashes! I also tried while creating these movie clips to split one into around 30 smaller files which combine to make the whole, but the program isn't letting that work either! What the hell is my problem?

Try uninstalling, deleting the installer for it, & downloading a new copy from download.com, it may help.

no, it's never really worked on any system for me. These are just the problems that it has created for me on my current computer.

I use it for my video editing. I hate it. It freezes up every damn day. If you delete it and re-download it, just download Adobe Premier.

Mine works fine until I add any type of music file to the production. Then-- BAM, it asks if I was to send an error report, closing it. Talk about useless.

So is there any acceptable movie editing software out there that I don't have to pay through the ass to obtain?

go to the adobe premier site and download the free 30 day... then you use this "special" search engine and find the unlock password.
