The federal deficit may soon reach $300 billion. There are 295,734,134 people in america. If the govnt would give each tax payer an equal share of this money... we'd all be getting checks for $1014.42.

Honey, the deficit is a big bill we owe. Most of our debt has been bought up by China, they hold it in case we try to stop purchasing everything from them. Or maybe for when oil reserves finally get so tight we would go to war over it( if we have enough fuel to run our tanks and fighter planes). Anyway they would be sending us all a bill for $1014.42. Or maybe they could just stop wasting money on stupid things and just pay their bills like we have to.

Yeah hkdbadreligion, so its more like : If every person in the USA sent the government a check for $1014.42 we could get out of debt (Assuming they would use it for that). If they did what you said the Federal Deficit would soon be reaching $600 B

Why don't we just up taxes this next year just for that? Make the excess bill a bit bigger in a linear respect for people earning more than the average citizen, and smaller in the same way for those earning less. While the average citizen is paying the exact ammount of their fair share. It's really not all that bad when you think about it. I don't drive much but I'm sure that my gas bill has raised by more than that and I'm still getting along fine. People will find a way to survive with relative ease in that one year that we pay off the deficit.

That would be great , but could we trust our goverment not to just rack up the bills again, knowing we would pay it off?

You know we are our government right? We hire the politicians, and if we hire the wrong ones bad things are going to happen. So what if the government racks the bills up again? At least we'll have gained some extra credibility back in the world showing that we can take care of our responsibilities every now and then. If we don't even try to make things better that shows that we really are horrible.

i was saying that if the govn't is going to be that far in debt for a stupid reason why not just send us each a check. Money is going virtual. its all an illusion. The govn't is spending money they dont have. most people are now using debit cards or credit cards. Cash is in the past. its the 21 century and America is poor.

Our government , just like it's citizens, lives beyond it's means. We use credit like water, people will put anything on plastic, and most don't think about the real cost. The only way to not overpay is to pay the bills in full when they come in. If you can do that, then why not just pay with cash? No you need to build credit, you need that magic number to prove you are a good person. Yep your value as a human being will be judged by that, and if you don't think so, try going through life will a low rating, you will be treated like you are either shady or stupid. I know people who have been denied jobs because of their credit score, isn't that the height of irony, you can't pay your bills on time, because you can't get a good job, because you can't pay your bills on time. I bet John Wayne Gacye had great credit.
Yes I am bitter. Yes my credit is very so-so. Yes I know it is ultimatly my own damn fault. I have never not gotten a job over it, but I have been treated by excrement by sales people and others because I am not really good with money. Like that makes me a bad person. I feel like I could do terrible things in front of those people , but they would be my best friend as long as I had a couple of gold cards.

but they would be my best friend as long as I had a couple of gold cards.
So that's why they give me all that fake friendly bullshit! That's why they never leave me alone! I need to start bringing down my credit score to scare these overly persistant fuckers away from my door.

Salespeople are like human pirahana, they will pass by people they don't think have enough and will afix themselves like barnacles to those they think do have enough. And then these rude self serving fuckers make the people with money think they are just fucking fabulous. Like my favorite waste of life Paris Hilton. Imagine her without money, just think about that. If you watch her sex tape, a good chunk of it is her checking herself out. She probably finds masturbation far more fufilling than sex, she is such a narcissist. The overly inflated importance of money has created her. Not that money has no importance, but I think it's horrible the weight we give it when we think of other people. Your credit score tells me nothing more than you pay your bills on time. I could reasonably assume your responsible, but that is it. You can't tell if you are kind, fair, fun, loving or anything else. Your morals are not evident in such a thing.

Maybe not, but studies show that certain people who pay off their credit are far more likely to buy product X and people who buy product X are far more likely to buy product Y and people who have a bad credit score still may be likely to buy product Z and so on. Your credit score and every other aspect about you, with enough research, will give salespeople some pretty obscure conclusions about you.

I suppose with enough research the telemarketers and other spawn of hell can figure out quite a bit. Credit card records make it even easier to track you. But I was refering to the salespeople you meet face to face, at malls and such. They seem to only see numbers, not people.

How do sales people at malls have any idea of your credit score?
