I so wish he didn't. If Hitler could have controlled himself, we could all call them assholes for the way they behave and be done with this. But instead we simper and mewl. Please don't think all Jews are like the Isrealis. One should only blame those who are guilty. I don't blame all Arabs, or all Muslims for the acts of radicals, or all Christians for the acts of their radicals. So lets not blame all Jews for the acts of their radicals. You should check out what prometheus had to say in his thread, you guys can bitch together.

There is a simple answer; if you want peace with Isreal, act like responsible members of the world community, stop the terrorism against them and you will have peace. If you don't want peace, continue on the road of terriorism and you will have war.

RE: " I SEE now why hitler roasted the jews ,,,,"

That attitude is why you have war and death in your land; it will not stop until you no longer hate as you do.

But there are two sides to this fight, and the other will make no compomises. Both parties must work toward peace, and Isreeal has rejected peace before. We are mired in this situation because the isreali's had a "god said it was ours, he meant to whole thing" attitude. After WWII the UN had a plan that would have divided the territory in question between the Jews and Palastinians, leaving out Jerusalem as an international city. But it didn't give the Jews all the land they said had been given to Abraham. ( and remeber toi get that land the first time, they attempted genocide against the canaintes) Yes there still would have been some problems with their arab neighbors, but not to the extent there is now. If you doubt this check out the cia history site.

They kill for the sake of religion. The parents are proud to raise kids who are so cowardly killing innocent people.

If they act daily based on the long list of the hatred recorded on the history book, many countries and races in this world would have been still fighting each other.

Japan slaughtered millions of Chinese, British enslaved and exploited the whole country of India for decades, and yet you do not see these two countries' leaders or parents promoting or proud to raise terrorists. Instead their people are working hard to equip themselves with education and knowledge so to improve their lives.

When do they those Islamic terrorists want to end the hatred and lift themselves up so that their people can get educated and learn what civilization is all about? Those religious territories leaders are really the ones trying to imprison their own people. It is so sad.

Joshua, are you aware that your name is the Hebrew (Jewish) version of the name "Jesus," who was a jew? Your name in Hebrew literally means "God is Salvation." The name given to Christ ... Jesus Christ... ...a jew. One of his others names is "Prince of Peace."

Yes, Israel has rejected peace before and opted for war. But, we must remember; they are a people who for thousands of years were slaughtered, enslaved, persecuted, hunted down and mindlessly hated all over the world. And, for the first time in those thousands of years they have a real homeland they can call their own. They have a relatively safe haven to live in peace. If you check the history of their opting for war (which has been carefully decided upon by them when war was the choice), it has been a choice between war or destruction of their freedom and home. Given the choice between peace with the threat of annihilation or war with a hope for lasting freedom, I'll take war with a hope for lasting freedom any day. Peace with enslavement is not an option. Sometimes war is the best option a people have to survive and live free from tyranny. It's too bad the Jews did not opt for war in the 30's in Germany. Perhaps millions of them would not have been slaughtered. Even we shout proudly "Give me liberty, or give me death."

Funny how the so-called "Palestinians" didn't want most of it, or for that matter develop the vast majority of the land now called Israel, until the Jewish nation came into being in 1948 and turned the area into a modern nation when in 2000 years of history it was a virtual worthless waste land when the Jewish people lost control of that area at the sacking (one of many times it happen to them) of Jerusalem in 70AD by Rome. Now, all of a sudden, the so-called "Palestinians" want it back when they never had it in the first place. That area was ruled by the Turks and the Ottoman Empire right up to a few years before Israel was established, and the Turks or Ottoman Empire were most assuredly NOT "Palestinians" in any way or form aside from some Turks sharing a religious point of view with some so-called "Palestinians" (also, it was governed by the British for a few years before Israel). And, just what is a "Palestinian?" Are they a people? A race? A political organization? A nation? A religion? What and who are they and why do they attempt to lay claim to a land that they did not want before modern Israel was born and a land that they did not develop in the past? Do you know what the word "Palestinian" means? I hate to tell you this, but it means a "waste land" or a "trash dump" or a "worthless place." The name "Palestinian" literal means a person or people of the "waste land" or "person of the "trash dump," etc." I do no say that to pour derision or insult on any particular person who identifies with that name or group of people, I am just pointing out that the name "Palestinian" has little meaning. It is entirely artificial, has little valid history and is in reality only ad hoc and a label of convenience. Anyone could call themselves a "Palestinian" and attempt to lay claim on the land that was called "Palestine." And, as far as a history of the right to live there and posses the land, the Jewish people have a well defined and well historically documented history of being a nation there for hundreds, if not well over two thousand years total. What history of such possession, development, government and so on do the so-called "Palestinians" have? Answer: none. They have no recognized or reasonable claim on the land now, and rightfully so, called, Israel." Sorry to tell you this; but any informed person would have to reject the claim that the so-called people calling themselves "Palestinians" have any legitimate claim on the land of Israel. They simply have none. Given that they are by far mostly Moslem, they would live much better lives by living in other surrounding Moslem nations such as Syria, Egypt, Iran or other parts of the world and give up their insane war to take something they will never get or have any reasonable right to.

** Fotenote: I am referring to the modern use and claim to the name "Palestinian" which is used by many people with varied backgrounds and ancestry.

Some "recent" history...

1517 AD : The Ottoman Turks of Asia Minor defeated the Mamelukes, with few interruptions, ruled Palestine until the winter of 1917-18. The country was divided into several districts (sanjaks), such as that of Jerusalem. The administration of the districts was placed largely in the hands of Arab Palestinians, who were descendants of the Canaanites. The Christian and Jewish communities, however, were allowed a large measure of autonomy. Palestine shared in the glory of the Ottoman Empire during the 16th century, but declined again when the empire began to decline in the 17th century.

1831-1840 AD : Muhammad Ali, the modernizing viceroy of Egypt, expanded his rule to Palestine. His policies modified the feudal order, increased agriculture, and improved education.

1840 The Ottoman Empire reasserted its authority, instituting its own reforms .

1845 Jewish in Palestine were 12,000 increased to 85,000 by 1914. All people in Palestine were Arabic Muslims and Christians.

1897 the first Zionist Congress held Basle, Switzerland, issued the Basle programme on the colonization of Palestine.

1904 the Fourth Zionist Congress decided to establish a national home for Jews in Argentina.

1906 the Zionist congress decided the Jewish homeland should be Palestine.

1914 With the outbreak of World War I, Britain promised the independence of Arab lands under Ottoman rule, including Palestine, in return for Arab support against Turkey which had entered the war on the side of Germany.

1916 Britain and France signed the Sykes-Picot Agreement, which divided the Arab region into zones of influence. Lebanon and Syria were assigned to France, Jordan and Iraq to Britain and Palestine was to be internationalized.

1917 The British government issued the Balfour Declaration on November 2, in the form of a letter to a British Zionist leader from the foreign secretary Arthur J. Balfour prmissing him the establishment of a national home for the Jewish people in Palestine.

1917-1918 Aided by the Arabs, the British captured Palestine from the Ottoman Turks. The Arabs revolted against the Turks because the British had promised them, in correspondence with Shareef Husein ibn Ali of Mecca, the independence of their countries after the war. Britain, however, also made other, conflicting commitments in the secret Sykes-Picot agreement with France and Russia (1916), it promised to divide and rule the region with its allies. In a third agreement, the Balfour Declaration of 1917, Britain promised the Jews a Jewish "national home" in Palestine .

1918 After WW I ended, Jews began to migrate to Palestine, which was set a side as a British mandate with the approval of the League of Nations in 1922. Large-scale Jewish settlement and extensive Zionist agricultural and industrial enterprises in Palestine began during the British mandatory period, which lasted until 1948.

1919 The Palestinians convened their first National Conference and expressed their opposition to the Balfour Declaration.

1920 The San Remo Conference granted Britain a mandate over Palestine. and two years later Palestine was effectively under British administration. Sir Herbert Samuel, a declared Zionist, was sent as Britain's first High Commissioner to Palestine.

1922 The Council of the League of Nations issued a Mandate for Palestine.

1929 Large-scale attacks on Jews by Arabs rocked Jerusalem. Palestinians killed 133 Jews and suffered 116 deaths. Sparked by a dispute over use of the Western Wall of Al-Aqsa Mosque ( this site is sacred to Muslims, but Jews claimed it is the remaining of jews temple all studies shows clearly that the wall is from the Islamic ages and it is part of al-Aqsa Mosque). But the roots of the conflict lay deeper in Arab fears of the Zionist movement which aimed to make at least part of British-administered Palestine a Jewish state.

1936 The Palestinians held a six-month General Strike to protest against the confiscation of land and Jewish immigration.

1937 Peel Commission, headed by Lord Robert Peel, issued a report. Basically, the commission concluded, the mandate in Palestine was unworkable There was no hope of any cooperative national entity there that included both Arabs and Jews. The commission went on to recommend the partition of Palestine into a Jewish state, an Arab state, and a neutral sacred-site state to be administered by Britain.

1939 The British government published a White Paper restricting Jewish immigration and offering independence for Palestine within ten years. This was rejected by the Zionists, who then organized terrorist groups and launched a bloody campaign against the British and the Palestinians.

1947 Great Britain decided to leave Palestine and called on the United Nations (UN) to make recommendations. In response, the UN convened its first special session and on November 29, 1947, it adopted a plan calling for partition of Palestine into Jewish and Arab states, with Jerusalem as an international zone under UN jurisdiction.

1947 Arab protests against partition erupted in violence, with attacks on Jewish settlements in retalation to the attacks of Jews terrorist groups to Arab Towns and villages and massacres in hundred against unarmed Palestinian in there homes.

15 May 1948 British decided to leave on this day, leaders of the Yishuv decided (as they claim) to implement that part of the partition plan calling for establishment of a Jewish state. The same day, the armies of Egypt, Transjordan (now Jordan), Syria, Lebanon, and Iraq joined Palestinian and other Arab guerrillas in a full-scale war (first Arab-Israeli War). The Arabs failed to prevent establishment of a Jewish state, and the war ended with four UN-arranged armistice agreements between Israel and Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, and Syria.

let me tell u about the real history of the isrealis in 9 april 1948 the irjoun partie which was being led by ''manahim bejin whoordered his forces to attacka small town called der yasin and committed a grand massacare wich he killed 300 civilians {as the head correspondant of the red cross to palestine said} the reason why he did it was to scar all arab civilians and make them leave to ensure the occupation of their land ,the plan worked and the arabs left for their lives. in may 1948 while the british governement is reaponsible jews occupied several arab cities and towns like yafa ,haifa and 300000 locals fleed their homes.in attempt to put an end to this situation arabs considered war which it ended by the united nations in 15 july after israel has occupied a big part of the land,in 9 april 1948 the irjoun partie attacked with cold blood der yasin village agian and 254 residents including kids and entire families
the jewish organisation condemned the attacks but they didnt anything to stop it.
this is a report of jack renier which had seen all the atrocites of the hajana and irjoun parties and said when i entered the town and homes ive seen bodies laying in the roads ,kids and their mothers shot to death ...50 people only survived from a 750 population .. he said that he ve seen cuted testicules and blood surrounding evry house every floor every site, and manahin bejin {which he is next pm back these days said that without the der yassin massacare there couldnt be an israel ,,,furthermore israel forces moved into townsin jerusalem and told the arabs flee the towns or youll be killed as it happened in der yassin,,so israeli has taken their land by committing massacars and atrocities against the palestinians,,,this land is ours and we will take it back ,espescially jerusalem the second macka for arabs which mohammed raised into the sky to take the commendements,,,,,
i must say that this was one of the many more massacares there is a list

Your comments tell of human violence, yes, mistakes, yes, death, yes, injustice, maybe...but still DO NOT invalidate the right of the nation of Israel to exist and occupy the land they are in, AND, you omit the thousands of incidences of violence against the people of Israel. Also, you fail to point out that the justice system in Israel has investigated, captured, prosecuted and punished their OWN when caught in acts of violence against non-Jews. Give me even ONE example where, as an example, the PLO, the PA, or any other "Palestinian" legal authority has investigated, captured, prosecuted and punished their OWN when caught in acts of violence against Jews? EVEN ONE? On the contrary; they encourage and pay for such acts of violence as seen in activity such as suicide bombers that have killed hundreds if not thousands of innocent people. And, after doing so, they are called "hero's of Islam" and of the "Palestinian" people and "martyrs for Allah."

If you want peace with Israel, then live in peace with them. Stop demanding the destruction of Israel, admit their right to exist and live in peace with them, because this I can tell you; you will never destroy them and you will never "drive them into the ocean" as your demented leaders have said that they desire to do. That will just never happen.

Freaky you are confusing me. How can it not be thieir land if you say some of the people who were living there were the decendants of the Canaites, the people who lived there before the Jews? I understand that the name Palastine/Palastinians is recent. That the territory in question was under the Ottoman empire, and that the europeans did some rude and silly things when they drew up territorial boundries to their won best intrests. Just like in Iraq when they drew lines that incapsulated three diffrent cultures. But did no one live there? Even if the name was new there were people who had lived on that land for generations. There were people who lost what they considered ancestral homes, and they had not been compensated for the land and homes. And in your recent history you say that they too had terrorist groups and made terrorist attacks when their move to Isreal?palastine was protested. Like most of the world , I would love to see peace in the Middle East, and the Arabs do need to recognize Isreals right to exist, but Isreal needs to stop crying victim and admit that their shit stinks and that they have made poor choices.
It is true that they have been attacked and harrased for centuries, but it takes two to tango. Be clear that I do not condone violence for almost anyreason, and I do not condone the attacks against the Jews, but when you isloate yourselves ( who else has a special word for everyone who is not one of them) you make yourself a target. Especially when you are doing very well financially in an area that isn't and you only help the members in your group. Every Christian charity I am aware of helps everyone not just Christians, but I have never seen a Jewish charity that helped whoever walked through the doors.(and I used to live in a Jewish community) There was obviously a need for a homeland, and no better place for it, but the execution of the plan really needed more tact.

re. Freaky you are confusing me. How can it not be thieir land if you say some of the people who were living there were the decendants of the Canaites, the people who lived there before the Jews?

A quick answer is that there are no more Canaites around that I know of, or at least I have never met one or seen one on the tube lately. And, Canaites? Why not go back further to the primates that lived there (if you are into the whole evolutionary thing) before them. What right did the Canaites have in driving out the primates that lived there before them a few million years ago? In other words, how far back do you have to go to prove you have a right to be where you are? Based on your argument, we as Americans have no right to be here given that the Indian people were here before us. The bottom-line is that area of the world was all but deserted, under developed and much of it was a waste land until the nation of Israel was born and then developed. As soon as it was born, the Arab nations around them with NO demand on any of the land that in 1948 became Israel, all of a sudden wants it all. Lets face it; they simply hate Jews and don't want them around, period. They want them dead. Their demands for the land of Israel is nothing more than a ploy to rid the area of Jews and nothing more. They have no need for the land, neither do they give a damn about it. My guess is if the Jews were driven from the land of Israel by the so-called "Palestinians" it would in very little time revert back to an under developed area with unstable and poorly run "government" (if any at all) and a haven for terrorists. Not to mention, more than likely it would be a land of religious repression and a Muslim hell hole as was Iraq, Afghanistan and IS Iran. No thanks, I would MUCH RATHER see the land as it is; a modern democracy the world should be proud of and support, not a Muslim poverty stricken failure ruled by repression where women are beat in the streets for not wearing a "berka," women are not afforded an education beyond a very basic Islamic joke of one, not permitted to drive, men are forced to wear beards, music is outlawed, there is the death penalty for converting to another religion as you see fit, children are abused as a matter of norm, freedom of speech and the press is non-existent, poverty is everywhere, and children are used as human suicide bombers and taught in their so-called "schools" to hate anything that is not Islam, etc., etc., etc. No thank you! I fully support Israel's right to exist where they are and as a nation. They are an awesome people who have endured generation after generation of horrible evil against them. Now that they have a country where they can live in peace, safety and freedom a bunch of asshole so-called "Palestinians" want to destroy what they have created. They are nothing more than terrorists as we have seen in our own country.

This is where the Canaanite part of the question came from. I am not advocating the Isrealies giving up anything other than the areas of the West Bank and Gaza Strip they have already agreed to release in previous peace accords, and some workable highway between the two. But if they want peace, paying anyone with a valid deed for property the state has taken, is a great step. There were people who owned property and lived on land that was taken, even if there isn't a nation who can lay claim to that land, there are individuals who can, and they deserve compensation. I guess the best way to put this is I want Isreal to take a higer road, they disappoint me when they do such corse and childish things. I want to support their nationhood, but when they are so destructive and greedy I in good concious can't.

Giving up the West Bank and Gaza Strip might be possible, but Israel has many security concerns in doing so. And regards to "The administration of the districts was placed largely in the hands of Arab Palestinians, who were descendants of the Canaanites." The people referred to here have not been around for a long time and it is very questionable if they can in fact be traced back to the Canaanites of history. Even modern day Arabs have a tough time tracing themselves back to Abraham and his union with Hagar producing Ishmael who is ONLY the "traditional father" of modern day Arabs and not a proven fact. It is all but impossible to prove that modern day Arabs do in fact descend from Ishmael or from Abraham and Hagar. And if you are going to go back that far, well then, who gave the land to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob? God is said to have done so, to them and THEIR descendants who are the Jews of today and have a much more coherent and documented history to refer too. Lots of ins and lots of outs here to research to be sure.

the world is a jungle.

the land belongs to the strongest.

regardless of past events & claims.

Lions in the jungle.

Another thing: I guess you guys are firing missiles here. That's fine. Just know that each side is told something else, and both are probably not the truth.

The Middle East has been growing date palms for centuries. The average tree is about 18-20 feet tall and yields about 38 pounds of dates a year.

Israeli date trees are now yielding 400 pounds/year and are short enough to be harvested from the ground or a short ladder. Israel the 100th smallest country, with less than 1/1000th of the world's population, can lay claim to the following:

The cell phone was developed in Israel by Israelis working in the Israeli branch of Motorola, which has its largest development center in Israel.

Most of the Windows NT and XP operating systems were developed by Microsoft-Israel.

The Pentium MMX Chip technology was designed in Israel at Intel.

Both the Pentium-4 microprocessor and the Centrino processor were entirely designed, developed and produced in Israel.

The Pentium microprocessor in your computer was most likely made in Israel.
Voice mail technology was developed in Israel.

Both Microsoft and Cisco built their only R&D facilities outside the US in Israel.

The technology for the AOL Instant Messenger ICQ was developed in 1996 by four young Israelis.

Israel has the fourth largest air force in the world (after the U.S., Russia and China). In addition to a large variety of other aircraft, Israel's air force has an aerial arsenal of over 250 F-16's. This is the largest fleet of F-16 aircraft outside of the U. S.

Israel 's $100 billion economy is larger than all of its immediate neighbors combined

Israel has the highest percentage in the world of home computers per capita.

According to industry officials, Israel designed the airline industry's most impenetrable flight security. US officials now look (finally) to Israel for advice on how to handle airborne security threats.

Israel has the highest ratio of university degrees to the population in the world.

Israel produces more scientific papers per capita than any other nation by a large margin - 109 per 10,000 people --as well as one of the highest per capita rates of patents filed.

In proportion to its population, Israel has the largest number of startup companies in the world. In absolute terms, Israel has the largest number of startup companies than any other country in the world, except the U.S. (3,500 companies mostly in hi-tech).

With more than 3,000 high-tech companies and startups,! Israel has the highest concentration of hi-tech companies in the world -- apart from the Silicon Valley, U. S.

Israel is ranked #2 in the world for venture capital funds right behind the U. S.

Outside the United States and Canada, Israel has the largest number of NASDAQ listed companies.

Israel has the highest average living standards in the Middle East.

The per capita income in 2000 was over $17,500, exceeding that of the UK.

On a per capita basis, Israel has the largest number of biotech startups.

Twenty-four per cent of Israel's workforce holds university degrees, ranking third in the industrialized world, after the United States and holland and 12 per cent hold advanced degrees.

Israel is the only liberal democracy in the Middle East.

In 1984 and 1991, Israel airlifted a total of 22,000 Ethiopian Jews (Operation Solomon) at Risk in Ethiopia, to safety in Israel.

When Golda Meir was elected Prime Minister of Israel in 1969, she became the world's second elected female leader in modern times.

When the U. S. Embassy in Nairobi, Kenya was bombed in 1998, Israeli rescue teams were on the scene within a day -- and saved three victims from the rubble.

Israel has the third highest rate of entrepreneurship -- and the highest rate among women and among people over 55 - in the world.

Relative to its population, Israel is the largest immigrant-absorbing nation on earth. Immigrants come in search of democracy, religious freedom, and economic opportunity. (Hundreds of thousands from the former Soviet Union)

Israel was the first nation in the world to adopt the Kimberly process, an international standard that certifies diamonds as "conflict free."

Israel has the world's second highest per capita of new books.

Israel is the only country in the world that entered the 21st century with a net gain in its number of trees, made more remarkable because this was achieved in an area considered mainly desert.

Israel has more museums per capita than any other country.

Medicine... Israeli scientists developed the first fully computerized, no-radiation, diagnostic instrumentation for breast cancer.

An Israeli company developed a computerized system for ensuring proper administration of medications, thus removing human error from medical treatment. Every year in U. S. hospitals 7,000 patients die from treatment mistakes.

Israel's Given Imaging developed the first ingestible video camera, so small it fits inside a pill. Used to view the small intestine from the inside, cancer and digestive disorders

Researchers in Israel developed a new device that directly helps the heart pump blood, an innovation with the potential to save lives among those with heart failure. The new device is synchronized with the camera helps doctors diagnose heart's mechanical operations through a sophisticated system of sensors.

Israel leads the world in the number of scientists and technicians in the workforce, with 145 per 10,000, as opposed to 85 in the U. S., over 70 in Japan, and less than 60 in Germany. With over 25% of its work force employed in technical professions. Israel places first in this category as well.

A new acne treatment developed in Israel , the Clear Light device, produces a high-intensity, ultraviolet-light-free, narrow-band blue light that causes acne bacteria
to self-destruct -- all without damaging surrounding skin or tissue.

An Israeli company was the first to develop and install a large-scale solar-powered and fully functional electricity generating plant, in southern California's Mojave desert.

All the above while engaged in regular wars with an implacable enemy that seeks its destruction, and an economy continuously under strain by having to spend more per capita on its own protection than any other county on earth.

AND THE FRENCH AMBASSADOR IN ENGLAND SAYS : "ISRAEL IS NOTHING BUT A SHITTY LITTLE COUNTRY"
