OK, you red-blooded Americans ... let's see how you do on this test:
Very interesting questions. How well would you do if you took the citizenship test. Try this out -- educational and fun.

24 out of 30 is considered a passing grade.

Supposedly 96% of all High School seniors FAILED this test...

AND if that's not bad enough, 50+% of all individuals over 50 did too. Go to the link below. Take the test??and be surprised at what we don't know.

24/30, barely made it.

After the fifth amendment I'm lost when it comes to the constitution. Shame though. =(

I'm English, so I suppose it works.

I don't buy the 'to find religious freedom' though.

Ever heard of "Mayflower"?

Sorry to sound like a cynic, but that's one ship.

Sure, some emmigrated for religous freedom, but America does tend to glaze over rough spots in its history and glorify the better bits (as do we all) but to say America was founded out of religous freedom is a bit of a long stretch.

For what other reason do you think "pilgrims" would cross the Atlantic?

Yes, some (the pilgrims) crossed the atlantic for religous freedom.
Non pilgrims didnt cross it for religous reasons.

Well, that was the question.

So it was. Missed the pilgrim bit. :)
I stand corrected.

I would still maintain that the question is aimed at 'pilgrims' so they could throw 'religous freedom' in there instead of 'betraying the crown' (I know, I know, I couldn't resist).

What can I say? I'm a bit biased, just a tad though. ;)

My ancestors (fathers line going back) were French protestants who came to the U.S. before the revolution. I am sure religious freedom was a huge part of their decision, but I don't know if they would have been considered pilgrims. Probably not. Didn't the pilgrims come from England and settle in Virginia?

I sometimes feel I should be in England for some strange reason.....

But, I'm more big on ancient history.

Like Greek, Egyptian, Norse mythology, or Atilla the Hun or shit like that.
