Why do gay people always have that same look about them, and always talk with that same voice? Why are gays so stereotypically flamboyant? I mean, most gay guys are so obviously gay when they start talking, I'm just wondering if there's some kind of scientific reason why this is. Does it have to do with a chemical imbalance in the brain?

Actually, I have come across many circumstances where that is not true. I just learned that a friend of my sister had recently come out. I know him pretty well, and his voice is as normal as any straight guy. On the other side of things, I have a friend that when I first met him, his voice fit the gay stereotype so well that I was surprised to find out that Public Safety had walked in on him in the bathroom one evening plowing some girl he'd met that night in the bathtub.

Of course there's the whole thing about being part of a clique also. Different cliques dress and act like each other. The pimpin nigga clique, for example, talk with slurred english, dress in as much "bling" as possible, and slouch to the extreme. The goth clique talks with cold dry voices, dresses in as much black colorless clothes as possible, pierces every inch of their body, and are infatuated with death. The gay clique also has their ways of talking and apearances, and those guys who are comfortable with their homosexuality often follow suit, whether or not that be a concious act.
