xbox 360 is bullshit compared to a top PC.
Hook up a controller to yuor comp and you got a console that does EVERYTHING! Interenet, game, word processing, chat... etc

how about this... I got my 360 in the mail straight from micro$hit. plugged it in and got it connected to my router. then when i was signing on to xbl, it told me to download the updates...i said ok and it proceeded to brick my $400 console. I called micro$hit and went round and round with the stupid jerk in india about what it did and he said that I gave it a virus because i wasnt supposed to connect it to my router.BULLSHIT. I have 4 console connected to my router AND switch...hmmm

so anyways, I kept talking to this jerk from tech support for about an hour and finally i got to speak to his supervisor, much more brighter than the last. He offered to send me a new 360 and 2 new wireless controllers(now i have 4) and a free hub from linksys!!! I said sure...guess what i got in the mail? a $50 gift certificate to bestbuy!!fucking asshole. I HATE MICROSHIT

XBox 360 was never meant to compete with PCs. Why would Microsoft make a product that competed with their own product? Still, though, the graphics capabilities for the 360 are better than those of the top PCs. You cannot judge the system on the current games released for it. They only had around three or four months to use the kit before the system was released with all the games. The games out for it now suck. But just wait for Gears of War. It's going to be amazing. Also, it is revolutionary for consoles. It has many options not previously available for any other system. I have to say, though, it does not allow most XBox games to paly on it. It only takes around thirty. It's as if they just programmed a shitty emulator, instead of designing the rom to recieve data from the original XBox games.

Sure, its graphics are a little better, but it seems to have taken some steps backwards in other areas. The first thing that I didn't care for was the overall look of the thing. It just screams HOMOS ONLY! And then they charge an extra $20 for a faceplate to make it look somewhat better, but still gay all around.

Then you have those new controllers. They remove the white and black buttons and replace them with 2 more trigger buttons, mimicking the PS controller. IT WAS PERFECT BEFORE! If it aint broke don't fix it!

The games don't seem all that interesting either, no new ideas coming out. I just hope when the PS3 comes out they'll be making steps in the right direction, unlike the Xbox.

I favor consoles for playing games to PCs so that I can actually spend more time playing the game, rather then the (minor) hassles of using a PC. So basically, I favor the conveniance of a console.

And what's with all the bad comments, a guy that apparantly tested a 'beta' version of the PS3 reckons it has better graphics by far, I know these posts are fairly old, but seriously, the PS3 hasn't shown any action game with a graphical achievement that Epic Games has gained with Gears of War.

But why even care about the other console, you don't like what it offers, then why bother wasting just insulting a system?

Anyway, i've had an Xbox 360 since launch and it hasn't failed me yet, as with all console launches there are a number of faulty ones which people exagerate way too much about. I enjoy the great online service and awesome games, with more on thier way, many exclusive. And isn't that what it's all about, the games.

The Gamecube controler is better than the 360 controler, the SNES controler is better than the Gamecube controler, and the PS1/PS2 controler is the best controler in history. The only advantage the 360 has right now is way more games. Since it has so many games, it's bound to have more good games, too. However, with Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 3 out now, and Smash Bros. Brawl coming out soon, the Wii is quickly closing that gap.

I'm not really adding anything, I just felt like talking about video games.

I'm going by the one that feels the most comfortable in my hands, and that would be the Gamecube.

For feeling, yeah, Gamecube did a pretty damn good job. If you notice, they made to major adjustments over the N64 controler: 1. They brought it back towards the SNES design by rounding it and putting everything within reach of your thumbs. 2. They made the ball pivot on the joystick enormous, as opposed to the tiny piece of shit that they had in the N64 controller that would stick and make it impossible to move the way you wanted to. The Play Station controller is my favorite for its arrangement. The SNES controller is nice just for it's elegant simplicity. For multi-platform compatibility, the PS1 and PS2 did it right by having a ton of buttons that are easy to access. Nintendo just made a pumped-up version of the SNES controller, which was just a streamlined version of the NES controller, so they didn't have a real innovation until the Wiimote. I like the Wiimote, but it is kind of limited in the kinds of games it works well for. That's why I'm glad you can use Gamecube controllers with the Wii.

Forget Gears of War, and Halo for that matter, Mass Effect is the most amazing game I've ever played, I was watching something on TV about it last night, and it was talking about how you make certain decisions in the game that effect the rest of your storyline, so it's actually many games in one. and also, the game is going to be a trilogy so the decisions you make in the first game is going to effect how you play the second and third. that's fuckin unreal.

X box 360 is OK....just don't use one of those after market coolers for it. They will short out the machine , causing it to fail. Cost me $100 to repair mine at the Microsoft repair center in Mesquite Texas.

I have nearly 2500 or 3000 ours of both, played since 2007. Morrowind is the only thing that runs on my crap laptop... Very good game. It's also cheap as hell for the PC (WINDOWZE, but runs pretty well on wine (http://www.winehq.org/))

I'm sick of people thinking that PC means Windowze...
