sorry guys, but i got an email from them today. with the ability to post vids on unfathomable, they've set forth the following:
no porn...porn posting will get you an immediate ban, tho i believe they don't have a problem with nudes
no hotlinking...3 warnings for this and immediate deletion of thread
no redirect, same as above....
other than that, bullshit as usual...if you guys don't like the rules, i'll have em turn the html back off so we don't have to worry about it

What exactly do they mean by hotlinking? We can't post links to other websites now?

Hey Hitek, I think I understand what they are talking about, but, as an example; unless you remove the hotlink from the URL, photo hosting sites like ImageShack always add a hotlink in any URL they provide to their site. Example...
http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/9347/fpf1700marilynmonroe196xi1.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Click on the image and it will hotlink to ImageShack's website. My point is that most people don't know what the hell a hotlink is and will just paste in as provided. Do you know if they mean hotlinks from hosted images?
You can remove the hotlink as in...

...but you have to do it yourself.

But like, does that mean no <a href > at all or just in pictures?

Maybe, but like, I use....
URL to image
It's stealing a bit of bandwidth, but hell, I figure there's enough to go around. :D

I guess that means then if we find an image we want to post, we have to upload it to photobucket?
That's nothing new, though, we've been able to do that for ages with BBCode.
