I thought that Narnia was a GREAT movie. They reduced the x-tian slant to nothing and turned it into a GREAT fantasy!
Wonderful special effects that did NOT dominate the film.
Good synchronicity between book & film.
Good choice on characters.

If you are desparate to be even more depressed that you already are, you can skip your Prozac and blow 10 bucks on Brokeback Mountain, this years PC hollywood pre-ordained hit about two gay sheep ranchers. Yes, I know that the press has referred to the movie as being about two gay cowboys. But as we all know, the only gay cowboys in recorded history were in Village People.

At any rate, it should then be no surprise that two sheep ranchers move from caring for their flock to caring for eachother. I mean, this movie is Bahhhhhhhhh===D.

Now that Brokeback Mountain has become the brunt of a million jokes, watch for the Academy of Motion Pictures to snub it completely at the Ocsars, and give the award for Best Gay in an openly gay leading role Capote.

People in my area refused to see Brokeback Mtn. so the movie theater removed it. My gf and I went to see it but they didnt have it. Instead we saw the vampire v. werewolf movie, dont remember the name. The chick was hot, that's all that counts.

Why did they refuse to see it? I have not yet seen it myself, but I have also heard nothing but praise of the movie. I doubt that the problem was with gays, rather that it somehow protrayed them in the wrong light?
