I know it must cost to have a forum. The text and the space it takes up. It is not insignificant. Who runs this and why?

Anyways, I'd assume that the forum master has some extra money lying around for a website and is funding this in interest of personal enjoyment.

2) BS is a some other college, funded thingie (psych, technology, etc...)
3) BS is a government sponsored site (perhaps a trap?)

Sociological study is possible, but I fail to see just what they are trying to learn.

A college funded thingy would most likely have at least one member that is associated with that college who is still frequently active on the site. If that person steps forward you have your answer, but I doubt that this is the reason either.

A government sponsored site is a possibility as I pointed out in my second post in this thread. But then we must determine just why the government is funding it....

GS is definately not the creator of this site. If it is one of the more active members, I'd be prone to say that Freakazoid is the creator. He is here starting new threads very often, just giving his own bullshit out, which gives me more of the feeling of a site monitor somehow.....

The fact that nobody has answered it yet leads me to believe that the creator is not an active member. Maybe the site administrator will come on within the next month to make sure things are runing smoothly and clear up this question at the same time.

We answered the same question a couple of months after the site went live in November 2005. We have been a small web hosting company since 1996 and a domain registrar (007names.com) since 2001.

This domain name is one of a few good names that we have owned for sometime. Finally, last year we decided to put it to good use by providing the Net citizens a space to express their opinions in various subjects except porno, no matter how ridiculous they may sound.

Well that doesn't quite answer all the questions. What is your company gaining from having the site up? You are spending money on the site and any good company would like to see some kind of return on every expenditure they make. What return is your company realizing?

The money we spend on this site is miniscule! We own the domain name and have plenty of Internet bandwidth leftover from our hosting business. It absolutely does not cost us extra money to run this site other than the time spent on monitoring the activities.

As much as my paranoid side loves this theory... I think it is for personal enoyment, & to get a site so popular, that some large company will offer massive money to advertise here, or buy the site for sole ad purposes. In time that is...
