Meanwhile, here in Texas, we've seen temperatures in the early 80's both the day after Christmas and New Year's. Now it's really getting cold... 10's expected soon... what a wild year!

LMAO!! Looks like proof of global warming to me! Here's even more "proof." ...
MINNEAPOLIS (Jan. 14) – Arctic air extended its grip Wednesday with below-zero temperatures stretching from Montana to northern New England and frost nipping the Gulf Coast. A few ski areas in Vermont and northern Minnesota closed for the day because of the cold — 38 below zero at International Falls, with the wind chill during the night estimated at 50 below.
The temperature at Bolton, Vt., was 10 below zero and operators of the Bolton Valley ski resort feared that skiers could freeze if a lift malfunctioned, said spokesman Josh Arneson. "Getting people off a lift can take time," he said.

Wondered if someone would beat me to the cold-snap punch from Minneapolis.
I think Algorre is there as we type speaking about how "It MUST get cold BEFORE it warms up..... this is a scientific fact." :D
And how could we possibly doubt the inventor of the internet, Gigabyte Gorre?

I feel like getting up and randomly moving to the African Savannah.

I've been to Africa.
It is hot.
No doubt.
Too hot for me. AlGorre could make his case there, except, it's been hot there for a long time. And will continue to be, as far as we know.
I was there as an athlete for an endurance race. I remember seeing Kilimanjaro rising like a Lepress above the Serengeti.
Whew. Stellar. But still too damn hot. :p
