OK, so I'm overnight at a hotel near Orlando on business. Just walked out to my car to scrape the windshield of frost.

It's FREAKING 28 degrees out there, and the high today is only going to be 52!
And Miami will only reach 56.

I phoned AlGorre and he stated "It Must get COLD before it gets WARM. Send me your money so I can study it!"

Yea, I'll get right on that Al.

Come on,

I lived in Florida for about 5 years, it does get cold there. I have even seen it snow. (the snow just doesn't stick) You say you live there in the sunbelt, you should know that already.

Have you even seen the movie that you so often lambast? Or any of the other materials available on the subject ? Other than those that tell you what you want to hear?????

Yes!
The news this morning is reporting "RECORD COLD IN FLORIDA" with Manatees hovering near the springs just to stay warm.
Contrary to other posts saying "It gets cold in Florida"
No shit.
But RECORD COLD?
The LIBERAL MEDIA is saying this Freak. RECORD COLD!
MUST BE TRUE! :D

I'll place a call to Al. He'll straighten it out. Then try and sell me a 88 Cavalier creampuff driven by his sainted mother only once a week to Capitol Hill!

An ice storm that's been pounding Oklahoma is headed this way, expected to be the worst freeze in years for North Texas; complete with power outages since our electric poles are above surface. Yay global warming!

Yowza, Jimbo.
Not good.
I have a sales rep that lives up north and he tells me it's pretty bad now with ice/snow. Unable to leave his house.

Hopefully, you will not lose power.

Hang in there!

Thanks, Zack. So far no big events, but Texas isn't exactly used to this kind of weather, if you know what I mean. Traffic accidents everywhere!

I've got a business associate that lives in Garland. I'll have to call him and see how you guys are making out if the weather gets bad.

I know you're financially tight now, but once you get things straightened-out with finances, and I know you will, you might want to invest in a small gas generator. Always comes in hands. I have a little 1200 watt. Just enough for running a TV or a few lamps or a small fridge in a dire emergency.
You can get them on ebay for $250 or so. Worth their weight in gold if you need emergency power in a long outage.

I used mine a while back when we lost power down here for a 3 day stint. Nice having a few lights and a TV/Radio to check the news when other houses were in the dark.
