I've had it just about up to here (there) with this Avian Bird Flu nonsense and the word "pandemic". The US government recently said that as many as 90-something million people could become infected if the shit hits the fan. 130 people have been infected so far over in China. (out of how many billions?) Yeah, the virus could mutate into something bad. Yeah, that would be terrible. Yeah, shit happens. Yeah, somebody might want to do a little planning. But let's stop freaking out about it, people. You could be hit by a bus or struck down by green lightning later today for all you know.

I'm sure the US has contingency plans for large meteor impacts and Godzilla attacks, too. They're awfully fond of spending money on useless reports.

Speaking of birds and guns, my neighbor's rooster is about to get a .22 round between the eyes. Damn thing crows at 3 in the afternoon, every afternoon, over and over and over.

If they really want to lower the population all they have to do is start WWIII. They're already well on the way to getting it going, and not only will it lower OUR population but it will also lower the entire world's population and bring up the economy. That way, (as far as the government is concerned) EVERYBODY WINS!
