No I dont take it seriously. It just a silly club. It seems that everyone in here, especially you, wont let up on it. I would have to say that they take it more seriously than I do.
Here is an example:

That wasnt really funny. Its gross and low-brow.
But then I dont find that many things very funny.

It is in many ways a silly club, beelzebub, that is why people in the forum have been poking so much fun at it. You say you don't take it seriously (which doesn't really matter if you do or don't, that is your right to do so or not), but I think you need to realize that one reason people have made a lot of jokes about it is because you had that large "Mensa" logo in your signature for months which was like saying to everyone "I am in Mensa, I'm smarter than you!" Maybe you didn't mean it that way, maybe you are simply proud of your accomplishment of getting into Mensa (which is cool), but you have to admit that it is simply human nature to poke a little fun at people who are sort of "in your face" concerning how smart they think they are. Personally I think it is cool that you are a part of them, but I just don't think they are much more than an organization that recognizes scholastic achievement (again, which is a good thing), but not an organization that is always filled with the brightest sparks on the planet. Knowing a few facts about history, math, philosophy, etc., does not in fact make you the smartest person around. I know a few people who could get into Mensa by passing the "tests" they have you take and are still morons. I have talked to other Mensa members online and truth to tell; they can be pretty damn stupid and ignorant. Not all to be sure, but being a member of Mensa is no guarantee of intelligence neither is it a guarantee of superior thinking. It is just a organization of people that try to promote scholastic achievement and the concepts of a person learning, nothing more. It’s a good organization and one that I am sure is good to be in.

I get what you are saying but its not fair. GS has a very offensive signature. His literally says others are stupid. However you don’t hear anyone complaining about his. Mine NEVER directly said others are stupid or said that all mensan's are of superior intellect. From my perspective everyone is heated over me using a mensa logo and it nor I said that it made me better than anyone.

I really don’t mean it that way. I just wanted a logo and a signature. So I took different aspects of my life an put it on there. I don’t mind people poking fun but dam! Every time I turn around? It’s like a fucking broken record!

You know I have wanted to remove the mensa logo. I am in a catch 22 however; if I take it off people will ridicule me for doing so and if I leave it on I get ridiculed. So ... Overall ... who gives a fuck? It has made for interesting conversation and some fun.

You make some good points, beelzebub, and they are well taken. But, I do have to ask (as the General has asked), what is offensive about his signiture? Looks like humor more than anything else... "I'm with stupid." :D
PS, removing the logo is no issue with me, neither is having it there, other than poking a little harmless fun at it and Mensa. You could put the big yellow one back and I would not care, it is really none of my (or anyone else's) business what image you put in your sig.

Ok,.. First of all offensive may have been the wrong word. You said that My signature made people feel like I was saying they were stupid and I was smart. GS's signature LITERALLY points to the viewer and says the word "stupid". Thats all I meant. [/QUOTE]
I am not offended at all by his signature.

Just remember this, the only person that GS can be certain his logo is pointing at is himself because he never sees if any of the rest of us are in the proper place to actually be the one who is being pointed at when looking at his signature. The only one person he can be absolutely certain is in this proper position is himself, which I'm sure he has been. So in all reality he is calling himself stupid more than anyone else.;)

So the intent of a signature warrants ridicule?
I think that you are just as arrogant as I, if not more.

General, you smart ass! :D:D I used to have a t-shirt that said "you're stupid" printed upside-down...you would be surprised how many people would turn their head to read it!! LMAO!! You should have your sig. pic put on a t-shirt, mang. Would be a kick to see people read it and try and figure it out. :D
