Years ago I worked at Sears for a few months (true story) and this nut case used to sneak in the store and put a cassette tape in a stereo system with about a 5 minute silent lead on it. He would turn up the stereo all the way and then sneak out. After the 5 minutes were up on the tape the damn recording would kick in and we would hear something like...

ATTENTION ALL YOU ASSHOLES DICKHEADS SHOPPING AT SEARS TODAY!!!! EAT MY SHORTS YOU FUCKING FOOLS!! SEARS MAKES THE WORST SHIT ON THE PLANET AND SELLS THAT SHIT TO ASSHOLES LIKE YOU!!! FUCK YOU SEAR’S SHOPPERS! LICK ME RAW!! FUCK YOU SEARS!!! JAM YOUR BULLSHIT UP YOUR ASSES!!!!

Etc, etc., etc...

The whole floor could hear it and it shocked the hell out of everyone!! But here is the kicker...the way they would set up the display of stereos it was really hard to tell which one it was coming out of with all of that equipment jammed together on 3 or 4 shelves and about 18 to 20 systems and components to have to shut down!! What amplifier was it, what cassette deck was it, this one, that one, shit which one??!!! LMAO!!! Where's the the power cord, damn it, where the hell is it!!!

We used to laugh so hard when it happened I almost split my sides open!!!! It took Sears weeks to catch the asshole and bust him!! :D:D

That is fucking hilarious!I used to like Sears tools(they took a bit of a beating giving me a life time garauntee),but I bought a craftsman lawnmower and it sucked from day one.I assumed it was under warrenty but when I calledthem about it they told me just bring it in,and theyed charge me to fix it.Guess they burned my ass for all the other craftsman shit I wore out and returned.Funny trick,Hmmmm,I have 160$ worth of useless lawnmower that's reallymaking me think how funny that would be.:D

I got my first Sears credit card in 1992. I bought my first computer (a Packard Bell 286) with the card and NEVER missed a payment. In fact I made double payments. I bought 2 other computers and accessories from Sears later on.

I took a job with Manice Education Center (MA) in March 2001 and had to leave all my things in Tennessee. My sister used my card and bought several items and never paid the bill.

When I moved to Alexandria in August of 2001, I found out that my credit was shit because I had a negative mark from Sears (30 & 60 & 90 days late). First, I bitched out my sister then I straightened out the bill and then I called Sears to discuss the problem.

They refused to remove the negative remarks unless I prosecuted my sister.

I had a PERFECT credit record from 1992 till 2000. Sears did not care about that. I had bought thousands of dollars of materials from Sears and paid it all. They did not care about that. They cared about $400 that my sister had charged and not paid.

I canceled my account and I refuse to buy ANYTHING from Sears.

On a lighter note: My sister did the same thing with 2 other credit cards (Texaco & a Visa) and they removed the negative remarks from my credit report. This affirms my position that SEARS SUCKS PIG SHIT!

A very good reason not to trust someone else to take total control of items that affect your credit. If you were smart enough to care about your credit rating you should have at least checked up on the card to make certain that payments were being made. The only other logical option would be to just cancel the card and not be so dumb as to just give it to someone who has nothing to lose from delinquencies.

I must have gotten the wrong impression. You never stated that she was using the card against your will which only alluded to the opposite. Since you were writing a letter of complaint, it seems that if you hadn't given your card away you would have complained about that as well.

Really though, you should have been either keeping an eyer on all your accounts or closed those that you didn't use anymore. That is what I practice and so I only have myself to blame if things don't go my way.

Well I do. I keep and eye one everything. I had just came back from the peace corps and then moved to MA. All my shit had been fine for 2 years in my moms house. Who would suspect?

I could have been more protective of my credit cards - thats not the point. I had an account with them when you didn't even exist and never HAD A PROBLEM paying my bills. The problem is probably with their customer support research. I'm sure that any large company wants to show that it cares more about their customers than anything else, but they obiously missed the mark on this issue. I could say that Best Buy doesn't give a damn about their customers because their customer support in the past week has been completely useless. It doesn't truly mean that they don't care about their customers, but they sure the hell made me never want to make any large purchases with their store again.
