Okay, I know a LOT of people will disagree with me but who thinks Prometheus should be given another chance at becoming a bullshitter. You guys talk about him all the time and I've read his posts. Granted, I wasn't here when he was posting but still. Everyone deserves another chance. Looking at his posts I would say that as long as he didn't outright flame anyone for random things it wouldn't be a problem. Set some guidelines that he has to follow for a certain amount of time? While some will object to it I'm getting tired of seeing people talk shit about a man who can't defend himself. Don't give me any of that he'd do the same bullshit. Maybe he would maybe he wouldn't you don't know.

Also I'd like to bring up another topic in this thread. Name calling. Nothing good comes of it only anger and frustration. It relieves anger only temporarily. While the MaoBama stuff isn't taking it over the edge(I admit that's something I need to stop to) the stuff that some people are saying to each other are uncalled for. Ballzack, why do you feel the need to attack Paisley? I understand you feel resentment towards her and Prom but keep it to yourself if you can. And if you can't don't use stuff like her sexual preferences and her political affiliation in it.

He said nothing about censorship, he said to think about what effect your words have on others before posting them.

Besides that censorship has nothing to do with socialism. Socialism is an economy type. If you had of said something along the lines of "censorship is leaning towards monarchy" that would be different.

Actually the main reason is I'm tired of seeing Ballzack rail him NON STOP and him being unable to defend himself. If he came back the two of them would be evened out. It would be fair. Prometheus was banned for creating multiple accounts with the intention of trolling against a member of this forum. Additionally, he issued a threat to that same member. When warned about threatening others he chose to threaten him again.

In the spectrum of offensive behavior, I would say name-calling is pretty much at the bottom of the list (if not at the bottom of the maturity list as well). Zack and Freak both have their nicknames for certain members of the forum, and I think that's fine. I certainly wouldn't compare calling someone "caveIDIOT" or "euro-trash" to saying "you better fucking remove those pics or else!!!!!!!". Or else what, pussy? Don't get me started.


I don't want to hear about who should be banned around here. An internet forum is shit without its members, and keeping that in mind I expect to see a certain standard of respect around here. By respect I don't mean you have to like anyone. You can hate someone's guts and still respect them. Name-calling may not seem respectful to you, but at least those who do it have the decency to say it to the person directly.

What i do know is the reasons he was banned, Which is exactly what the general just stated.

For the most part i see us as a very tight nit community and promo is the only member i've seen who has been banned.
For the record i have general septems back, If this is how he feels ... i respect that

The thing is, Prometheus' ban is quite old now. Honestly, an 'unban' would be a moot point since he has probably found a new site to annoy and wouldn't care to come back anyway. If he did it would probably just be to get a few more '2 cents worth' in retaliation. Fuck it, leave the ban or lift it, it matters little.

One of the reasons I don't have a problem with Zack and Freak's name calling is because they are participating in discussions in which every goddamn thing there is to be said has been said every single way it could possibly be said. They are just applying the Septem Theorem: Any debate can be won by name calling if and only if every possible logical argument has been stated.

There's a reason I don't post much about the bailout, because at this point my opinion isn't going to make any difference. The only thing I can really do at this point is rail anyone who voted for Obama to make up for the shit I had to put up with over Bush, but honestly I feel too bad for everyone who did to do so.

the american people has been raked over the coals
for atleast 30 to 40 years
and now it has slowly come to a head

Good responses. In my business class, our professor has reiterated many times that had we kept our policies (such as the tax cuts) predictable and left the business world alone on a government level, the economy would have already corrected itself and we would have adjusted. That's a little piece of data many should have understood before last November. McCain was viewed negatively by voters as a 'do-nothing', which believe it or not was exactly what we needed.
