First: We had no reason to get involved in WW 2 before Pearl Harbor. It wasn't till then that the US was attacked.

Second: WW 2 was started by Europe own arrogance and lack of forsight. It was your mess why should we have gotten involved.

Third: We didn't arm Hitler. We help arm Britian. If it was not for the aid comeing from the US England may very well have fallen to the Germans.

Fourth: Before any European country points it's figure at the US and blames us for Historical acts of aggression You should take a good long hard look at your own history.

This is partly true. If you intervened on humanitarian grounds rather than where you could make the most money maybe the world would be on side.

Not really true. The US economy at the time was struggling and you couldn't afford a war. You dug yourself out of the depression by selling arms to both sides of the conflict, and only intervened when it became unavoidable.

I know you yanks like to think that you came in, killed a load of Nazi's and saved everyone but its not quite true.

The D-Day landings were made by the US, the UK and Canada. They were only possible because Hitler had diverted forces from the Western front to an all out assault on the Soviets. The SS got their asses kicked and Stalins men pegged them back and took Berlin while we (UK and US) kept him busy in the west.

Roosevelt knew that if he wasn't involved in Western Europe, Stalin would have easily replaced the Nazi's and the whole of Europe would probably have been part of the Soviet Union.

In terms of foreign relations, i agree. The UN is ending up like its predecessor, the League of Nations.

Part of the problem stems from the power the security council wields compared to the general assembly.
