Anyone out there with any cool poems/Stories/Legends/etc please post them up. Yes, that specifically means you Beelzebub (your the only other person who checks the Literature threads ;) ) I found this one, think its really cool:
Dark times consumed the earth, a shadow of despair was cast on the Sacred balance. Until the day the Great Dragon answered to the suffering and pleas of his beloved spawn. The Great Dragon descended from the heavens, and brought back peace and justice to all the land. And just as quickly and violently as he had appeared, he rose back into the stars leaving only the message that those who do not accept peace (unity), friendship, and love as the the essential and true forces of the universe shall perish for threatening and rejecting the great balance. Since that fateful day the Great Dragon was never seen again among the masses, but assured are the inhabitants of this great earth that he is among them in spirit, and that his spirit and influence requires faith and loyalty to feel within oneself. I too am a Dragon. Inside me lies the Will of Fire once carried by my predecessors, the will that entrusts the enforcement of love and equality between man and his brother, and the intolerance of hatred and conspiracy among man. This is what I stand for, my way of life. Should I be forced to defend the ones I love (all humanity) then I would gladly perish in the flesh in battle, knowing I fought for a just and noble cause, only to rise again among kings and become a true DRAGON.

This is a famous Martial Arts saying all across the country which appeared a long time ago. Many Martial Arts schools everywhere recite it with great pride and honor. Its creator to this day is still anonymous to many people. I found out a while back that the creator was my very own Sensei, Alexis Morales.
"I come to you with only Karate
My hands are empty but I fear no man
Shall I be forced to defend my life, my principle, or my honor
Should it be a matter of right or wrong, life or death
Then here are my weapons, my empty hands."

Bent double, like old beggars under sacks,
Knock-kneed, coughing like hags, we cursed through sludge,
Till on the haunting flares we turned our backs
And towards our distant rest began to trudge.
Men marched asleep. Many had lost their boots
But limped on, blood-shod. All went lame; all blind;
Drunk with fatigue; deaf even to the hoots
Of tired, outstripped Five-Nines that dropped behind.
Gas! Gas! Quick, boys! – An ecstasy of fumbling,
Fitting the clumsy helmets just in time;
But someone still was yelling out and stumbling,
And flound'ring like a man in fire or lime . . .
Dim, through the misty panes and thick green light,
As under a green sea, I saw him drowning.
In all my dreams, before my helpless sight,
He plunges at me, guttering, choking, drowning.
If in some smothering dreams you too could pace
Behind the wagon that we flung him in,
And watch the white eyes writhing in his face,
His hanging face, like a devil's sick of sin;
If you could hear, at every jolt, the blood
Come gargling from the froth-corrupted lungs,
Obscene as cancer, bitter as the cud
Of vile, incurable sores on innocent tongues,
My friend, you would not tell with such high zest
To children ardent for some desperate glory,
The old Lie; Dulce et Decorum est
Pro patria mori.

This was always a personal favorite of mine while growing up in
Lincolnton, NC.
Some may enjoy it, others may loath it.

Richard Cory by Edwin Arlington Robinson (1869-1935)
WHENEVER Richard Cory went down town,
We people on the pavement looked at him:
He was a gentleman from sole to crown,
Clean favored, and imperially slim.
And he was always quietly arrayed, 5
And he was always human when he talked;
But still he fluttered pulses when he said,
“Good-morning,” and he glittered when he walked.
And he was rich—yes, richer than a king—
And admirably schooled in every grace: 10
In fine, we thought that he was everything
To make us wish that we were in his place.
So on we worked, and waited for the light,
And went without the meat, and cursed the bread;
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night, 15
Went home and put a bullet through his head.

Help save the youth of America
Help save them from themselves
Help save the sun-tanned surfer boys
And the Californian girls
When the lights go out in the rest of the World
What do our cousins say
They're playing in the sun and having fun, fun, fun
Till Daddy takes the gun away
From the Big Church to the Big River
And out to the Shining Sea
This is the Land of Opportunity
And there's a Monkey Trial on TV
A nation with their freezers full
Are dancing in their seats
While outside another nation
Is sleeping in the streets
Don't tell me the old, old story
Tell me the truth this time
Is the Man in the Mask or the Indian
An enemy or a friend of mine
Help save the youth of America
Help save the youth of the world
Help save the boys in uniform
Their mothers and their faithful girls
Listen to the voice of the soldier
Down in the killing zone
Talking about the cost of living
And the price of bringing him home
They're already shipping the body bags
Down below the Rio Grande
But you can fight for democracy at home
And not in some foreign land
And the fate of the great United States
Is entwined in the fate of us all
And the incident at Tschernobyl proves
The world we live in is very small
And the cities of Europe have burned before
And they may yet burn again
And if they do I hope you understand
That Washington will burn with them
Omaha will burn with them
Los Alamos will burn with them

He sent the flint stones flying, but the pony kept his feet,
He cleared the fallen timber in his stride,
And the man from Snowy River never shifted in his seat —
It was grand to see that mountain horseman ride.
Through the stringy barks and saplings, on the rough and broken ground,
Down the hillside at a racing pace he went;
And he never drew the bridle till he landed safe and sound,
At the bottom of that terrible descent.
He was right among the horses as they climbed the further hill,
And the watchers on the mountain standing mute,
Saw him ply the stockwhip fiercely, he was right among them still,
As he raced across the clearing in pursuit.
Then they lost him for a moment, where two mountain gullies met
In the ranges, but a final glimpse reveals
On a dim and distant hillside the wild horses racing yet,
With the man from Snowy River at their heels.
Just an excerpt from "The Man from Snowy River" by Banjo Patterson. Its a very famous Australian poem. ICH BIN EIN AUSTRALIANDER:D
