So, anyone have any thoughts on a bunch or crazy assholes like North Korea having exploded a nuke (so they claim)?

I voted not sure. Supposedly they tested a nuke underground just recently but I don't know if this is just media hype or if it actually happened. In any event I don't think my city would be a target. :D

I heard that they actually had exploded a nuke...as if we had witnessed some form of undeniable evidence. But if it is some questionable thing about it being tested underground I'd have to assume that it is probably just a way for the Korean bastards to try and scare their enemies in submission and agreement. What would be their purpose for testing it underground, where no other country could definately confirm that they now have the power?
Anyways, if they did, at least I'm nice and safe up here out of range of any military targets!:D

I think the other countries of the world are going to have to use what even means necessary to disarm North Korea. For the sake of world peace and secuity, North Korea cannot be permitted to own nuclear weapons.

Personally, I think we should GIVE nukes to North Korea, given that they want them so badly...perhaps 10 or 15 dropped on the heads of the assholes who run an area of the world (notice I didn't dignify that part of the world by calling it a "country") and have enslaved the people who live there. What kind of country bans cell phones, bans the Internet (except for the elite), bans any radio / TV (precious few even own one) that are not tuned to "government" controlled stations (if you are caught with one this is not tuned to controlled stations, you will spend years in a labor / "re-education" camp), does not let anyone travel outside North Korea, etc., etc., etc,...? So I say, let's give them some free nukes!!
What is wrong with this picture...? Answer: South Korea is well lite up at night (indication of a modern infrastructure), it is a strong growing democracy and economy, so-called "North Korea" has little or no modern infrastructure to speak of and is dark as hell at night with nothing but communist tyranny for it's people to wake up to...

Both articles are very interesting...and disturbing. And, to permit a group of communist maniacs to have nukes in their possession is insane.

I just hope we don't follow a policy of kissing Pyongyang's ass. Which it looks like we are doing so far.

Well, my understanding is that ever since the cold war started, the DPRK has been subtly trying to provoke us into fighting them so that they can claim us as the agressors (such as attempting to capture a spyplane, then the fight that broke out when we tried cutting down that tree years ago) and the provocation has gotten more and more overt over the years and now I just think the DPRK is getting desperate. Kim Jong il is nothing to me but an attention-grabbing lunatic child who loves to be the center of attention and when he's not, he does something to get that attention.

I agree with your point. The problem is that his attempts to "get attention" are getting very dangerous. Ass kissing this commie punk is not the answer.
