After so long of not eating fast food and being proud of it....I have fucking failed. I ate a Wendy's Spicy Chicken Sandwhich just now. I'm going to pay for it later. I feel like a failed horribly and I feel like a godammed hypocrite.

One fast food meal isn't going to kill you if you eat and live healthy the rest of the time. To eat any fast food meal, the best choice is definitely chicken anyway, so you didn't make the worst choice possible. Grilled chicken would have been better, but I can't fault you for that because I love fried chicken too. :D

Fast food is still food. High calorie, low nutrient, largely artificial food, but still food. A lot of the scare of fast food stems from the "you just don't know!" mindset, which basically states that because you don't know exactly what's in your food, then there must be something very horrible in there that affects bodily functions you don't know the name of in ways you don't understand.

If you have to eat fast food, get a grilled chicken salad. Not something I'd do on a regular basis, but it's not horrible for you either.

Then set a more realistic goal next time. Just because you're cutting down on something doesn't mean you need to stop altogether. Set a food budget that allows some leeway and go from there.

Or you could just read everything you possibly can about fast food, to the point where it is no longer even palatable, let alone enticing. ;)

You should check out the video "Supersize Me". To me, whenever I think of McDonald's food I think of all the gastric problems that accompany it. I often associate foods with their immediate effects on digestion, seems to work for me.
