Well, how about that...More bullshit "global warning" rhetoric and propaganda falling apart. Remember when they told us the ice sheets were going to melt and New York would be under a hundred feet of water and most of Florida would be covered by the year 2050? Well, looks like they are now telling us "ahhhhh, oops, guess we were wrong again."

Ice sheet melt threat "reassessed"

The collapse of a major polar ice sheet will not raise global sea levels as much as previous projections suggest, a team of scientists has calculated.

Writing in Science, the researchers said that the demise of the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) would result in a sea level rise of 3.3m (10 ft).

Previous estimates had forecast a rise in the region of five to six metres.

** Freaknote: It won't be long until they will soon be saying, "maybe it will only be one meter," and then "we now estimate three inches," ummmmmm, "would you believe a 1/2 inch?" "OK, OK, how about 1/16 inch?"

Here's something I've observed about environmental activists. One would think that these activists would be standing in line to work on projects to protect our environment. Some of these projects can have some rather lucrative paying jobs. I don't know about the rest of you but I would think this would only be expected.

In reality, over the past 30 years I have worked in various different capacities on several million dollars worth of these types of projects. These are real. This not a bunch of bullshit that I've made up. By the very nature of manufacturing processes many of our industries must take special care to the chemicals that are discharged into our air, water and soil to protect life and the delicate balance of the biological life cycles. No one wants to breathe contaminated air, drink contaminated water or eat foods grown in contaminated soil. What I have observed during these past 30 or so years that I've done project work in this area is, I have never seen an environmental activist work on an environmental project ever.

Now with the Dems in control and trying to save the planet, there don't appear to be very many of these types of jobs available. Can anyone tell me if they are so interested in preserving all this climate change and other good things to save the planet, why is there such a low little interest in promoting environmental projects?

Warming trends show that our Earth is getting cooler now not warmer and actually has been for a few years now.. Al Gore made his money on this scam and just like the hole in the Ozone layer it is all bullshit and not relevant.

I believe the term is "Junk Science" .

Wouldn't it be nice if scientists actually did something useful with the money they were granted for research?

Like fix the genetic mutation known as Homo Liberalis? That mutation didn't show up until around the 30s. Caused by poor people not wanting to work for money. That was brought about by welfare. Or they could always make a pill that if you were communist or socialist instantly fried your brain to a crisp......:Dhttp://forum.bullshit.com/images/icons/icon14.gif

I find it unlikely that it won`t make any difference to sea level at all. ten feet seems realistic, actually. 100 does not. and ten feet higher sea level doesn`t sound too bad considering all the land there would still be.
