Interesting but,... Is is really freaky?
An American military base in San Diego has very pleasing architectural style and all of a sudden it is weird.
The swastika is not an exclusively Nazi symbol.

But has come to be a symbol of death, oppression and other evils.
So.... one country used this symbol for their wicked and evil plans. Therefore therefore we should ban its use?
Come on!?!?!?! that doesn't make sense! This symbol is used by countless cultures for various meanings.
Do we condemn the symbols or their meaning?

As that may very well be true. Many people view the Confederate Flag as Racial discrimination, but to a lot of true Southerners it represents their Hertiage.

beelzebub, you can wear a swastika all you want. That's your right. But, given it's past history and it's popularly understood meaning (death and hatred to Jews and others), I would guess that it would be in poor taste and offensive to most people if you wore it in public as a t-shirt, pasted it on your bumper as a bumper sticker, or had it painted on your front door. There is more here than your personal freedom. It would be in poor taste, as an example, if you wore it in public on a shirt because it would...and I quote..."shock the public conscience and carry an offensive connotation." That principle is why a lot of cities ban the sale of pornographic material on public streets from coin operated newspaper stands. Personally, I would not want to see some asshole (as much as I believe in freedom of expression) walking around my local mall with a swastika on his or her shirt. If I owned the mall, I would have no problem kicking the asshole out or demand that they remove/change the shirt. I would that bet no one around here would appreciate it if you used a swastika for an avatar.

Good point! However, the confederate flag was exclusively for the succession. It was not a symbol used by countless other cultures for very different meanings.

com' om Beelze, The Confederate Flag represented The CSA.

What do you mean? The Flag got a bad rap by the KKK. They used it in a discracefull manner of which it was not intended to be.
The Confederate Flag is a symbol representing the hertiage of those in the south.
As for other cultures, anyone who drives in the South and sees a home with 4 wheels, junked cars in the yard, a pick-up truck jacked up to high heaven with beer cans strowed about the back and the Confederate Flag flying high above the front porch is partaking upon the Red-Neck culture.:D
