To my gifted friends. This stumped me.
If you can figure out how she does it please let me know. I never even touched the cursor on my chosen number.
Once I did not even follow the directions, I just looked at the number and she still got it!
This will drive you crazy!

It's a simple trick. When you pick a two digit number and subtract the first and second digit, you will always come up with one of these numbers:
9,18,27,36,45,54,63,72,or 81
you get 9 if your two digit number starts with 1 (example 12-3=9), you will get 18 if your two digit number starts with 2, and so on.
Notice that on the page with all the items, those slots (the ones that you will always come up with... 9,18,27,etc)will always have the same item, and that is the item she will guess. Each time you go through the item is different to make it seem more random. Nice trick though.

You're kidding me right?
For example, I got:
x+13+23-6-14+23-x
Well.... combine some shit...
x+59-20-x
x-x+39

All they do is keep track of what they have you subtract and add, and that will be what you end up with once they have you subtract your original number.
Whatever number you pick minus itself is always zero right? So your original number becomes irrelevant and they just have to add up what they had you do.
If for example, they have you add 5, subtract 10, add 20 and add 30, you will just end up with
5 - 10 +20 + 30, which is just 45. Your original number has been removed by subtracting it from itself in the last step.

Don't worry, your brain will get a good workout at school. You will notice a huge difference with stuff like that once you've finished college.
