Humans are designed for sex. We as a race are obsessed with sex. It is because sex is the driving force of evolution. This shows in the fact prostitution was one of the earliest occupations. Every society has had prostitutes. Have you ever been to Pompeii? The people there were also obsessed with sex, it shows in the frescos.

I do, but at the same time while I struggle with it I know how bad it is and can be. Heck it's impacted my life a great deal too so I know first hand the damage it can do to a person.

Marriage/=sex. This is one of the first things you learn in any Cultural Anthro class. In no society is marriage synonymous solely with child bearing, or sex in and of itself.

Ok just wondering how old you are ajk if you don't mind me asking? and second as far as porn goes and this is from a woman's point of view and a mom of 5 teen ages sons.

Males looking at porn will give you the same advice my grandmother gave me about men and porn. They don't have the female parts and are like a dog smelling a cat for the first time they just can't get enough, as they age the boobs begin to all look the same etc. If you are using porn to masturbate I see it as a means to an end, meaning whatever it takes to make ya pop go for it. There are different kinds of women out there.
You have the all about me women that are basically dick teases for money and guess what most porn women are these they are in for the money pure and simple.
You have your basic slut that does it with almost anything and has no loyalty to one person or another but most importantly she is lacking something in her self
Then you the basic woman, most women don't stay virgins til they are married but if you can find a nice girl virgin or not that's all that matters, and what i mean by nice is its not all about her, she is willing to be an equal partner in the relationship ( you do things for each other not one sided) and she is loyal and loving.
There are not a lot of women out there like these but there are some, just remember if they are beautiful extra nice and have a lot jewelry and know the fashions in and out they are woman number one.
If they are sleazy and overly out going and can't seem to not talk about sex they are number two.
Just be careful and you seem like a basically nice kid which is good but don't let society rule your thoughts. I am sure deep down you know whats right and wrong whats excessive and whats not, but in the end its you that you have to look at in the mirror and if your fine with yourself to hell with what everyone else thinks.

I am 19 years old (as of a little over a month ago). In regards to the porn and masterbation thing, while masterbation may seem normal and okay to do it doesn't always make it right. Masterbation is selfish and self serving, which defeats the entire purpose of sexual relations to begin with. Sex is meant to be shared with another person, not with yourself, which is what you are doing by masterbating.

There is a correllation. When I used to masturbate I never had a wet dream, but when I'd gone a couple weeks I would. Seeing as how it's a release of sexual tension, it's only natural they would only happen when one is sexually tense, which one rarely is immediately after masturbation.
