Sure thing. What I want to say is that if we work towards the complete control of birth, we could reach a state where abortion would not longer happen and we could make it become a potential danger to be spoken/written of. It would become like a martial art, something that teachers pass on to their students, but hope they never have to use it.

As for the threat to the mother through birth, yes an abortion is necessary, I agree. My great grandmother developed an infection during pregnancy, which could have been treated through abortion. The child would have died but she would have lived. She died giving birth to it because she didn't want to violate her Roman Catholic ideals. In extreme cases like that, yes abortion is necessary. However greater health care and common sense should cancel out abortion in the years to come.
