Ok at the cost of sounding like a dumb blonde. Why do you have to vote and what happens if you don't vote? What happens if you cant make a choice?
Or don't like either party? Sorry i just kind of wonder how a country can make some one vote isnt that messing around with your rights as a human being?
Sorry if i kind of sound a bit dense just wondering?

You dont sound denseat all.
You have to vote because our constitution is an amalgam of the US and British constitutions. Back when Australia was formed in 1901, they had compulsory voting in Britain so we inheirited it. If you dont vote, then you have to pay a fine, starting at $250AU.
We also have preferential voting, where you number your politicians in order of preference. If a politican doesnt get enough votes then they go to your next preference. If you cant make a choice you can leave the paper blank. Additionally, you cant directly vote who your Prime Minister (our version of a president) is, the party elects them.
And we dont have a Bill of Rights, thats how they can do it.

If you dont vote for the lesser of two evils, you get the worst one!
Anyone who doesn't use their right to vote has no right to complain about the Government.
Oh, and I vote Labour over here, which would mean if I was in the US I'd be voting Democrat.

I'm a conservative anarchist. That usually means that whoever I have to vote for either advocates things I believe to be wrong, or is looking to ban perhaps some of the things I believe to be wrong, plus a thousand other things. I don't consider myself to be Democrat, Republican, nor Independent. Tell me though, do you consider Libertarian to be Independent?

I never complain when i don't vote because i believe that way to but i dont believe you always end up with the worse one if you don't vote if i vote for one guy ( say the lessor of two evils) and my future husband votes for the other ( his lessor of two evils) we cancel each other out anyway so why stand in line most times in the cold to vote when in this case its not going to matter anyway. It may seem messed up but its the truth.

I don't believe in banning anything, but I still believe certain things are wrong.
You're an imbecile if you can't tell the difference between banning something and simply believing it's wrong.

Do you honestly think that you qualify as an anarchist?
you really cant call yourself an anarchist if you have beliefs similar to republicans...

Anarchy is not about what you believe is right or wrong, but whether you believe it should be enforced. I believe people should do right for its own sake, not because of the law.

Yes, but that defeats the purpose of anarchy, see if that were true, you would believe in "right" and not anarchy

Anarchy simply means "no government", and stems from the Greek alpha (which as a suffix is similar in meaning to the un- suffix) and the Greek word "archos", meaning government or leader. Not having a government doesn't mean one cannot live by their own moral code.

Unfortunatley some peoples morals tend to involve crime. Anarchy is just a bullshit philosophy for people who dont like the government.

thank you...
See people can live by there own moral code, but remember not everyone has a moral code...
also, we would have no police, no school, and finally, buissinesses would take over the world....

I trust them more than I trust anarchy. At least the government has bounds to work inside.

Not quite sure what I would be, I like capital punishment, I like abortion, I don't like religion, and I like neccisary taxes.
As for saying I can't complain for not voting I say suck it. No one here including myself has ever voted for the president. The electoral college votes for the president, they don't neccisarily have to go by the popular vote. Making the popular vote rather unnecissary. I don't complain about Senators, House Reps, Governors, Mayors and the like because I don't vote for those either.....It's also kinda hard to vote for someone when you're 3000 miles away and have no idea what's going on in your own state let alone what the canidates are planning on doing.
