What do you think of flag burning?

Every time I think of it, I think of that middle eastern fellow catching himself on fire.

My job required me to take an oath to the country. The country's symbol (flag) is a reflection of the country. Therefore I think that by burning a flag of a country you are burning a piece of that country....which could be considered an act of war or treason. I also think that burning flags are protected by the 1st amendment, so I will uphold the consitution but look poorly to those who burn flags.

I would also point out that the flag that a country represents realisticly does not reflect the country as a whole. Where one act by the "country" could be just one man doing something that you do not agree w/. Where you may have had a chance to win the people over, by doing the act you may have made a maytre (wonder if you can use that word w/o the religious backing of it) outta the flag and cause a backlash that you could never hope to stand up to....Of course, absolutly nothing could happen except the toasting of marshmellows.

That’s bullshit! It proves that the synthetic materials used to make the flag produce a noxious smoke that, when inhaled, causes feelings of euphoria or nausea depending on your mental state. Similar to the effect people can get watching our political parties war it out.

No it proves they are a dumb asshole for using gasoline to start a fire on an object that has a low flash point to begin with. The euphoria happens when they enhale the gas fumes and they get a rush when the little beads of burning poly stick to their legs. Assholes that burn flags seldom spent the extra money for a good cotton flag. <----do they make them anymore?
