engagement ring

:D Yesterday i got my engagement ring. Its so pretty. The future husband gave it to me at work after a long hard night it still has me smiling and i cant stop looking at it.

I didn't get the oooohs and ahhhs from the other women at work though which bugged me a bit not that i wanted to show off ( well i did ) but because i was so happy and proud. He didn't get me a real expensive one it is so beautiful though i have really tiny skinny fingers and he picked out one that would fit me perfect and still managed to keep it in a good price range. ( i don't like when a lot of money is spent on one thing i am weird like that)

The one girl at work barely glanced at it said it was cute and looked away. Later she made a comment about how her boyfriend and her decided instead of putting 1500 on a ring that they would put the money to better use in a down payment on a house. I just nodded my head and walked off. I could tell she was jealous and Jim didn't spend anywhere neat that amount of money on my ring so i thought it was kind of cheesy how she put it like that.

I always try to be nice to everyone when they get gifts and think its cool that they are happy, i just wonder why sometimes people have to be so petty. I guess i should look at the source though this chick is on Cash assistance with a baby and the baby's daddy is in jail. Her Fiancee is just a gamer that stays on his PlayStation all day and smokes weed. Oh well
I am still very very very very happy and excited and can't wait til my finger also carries the wedding band but that wont be for a few more months yet.

i didn't take it in a bad way. so many marriages end in divorce so i understood what he ment.

I figure this marriage will work because each day i fall in love with him a little bit more (i know it sounds corny) but when you can laugh when he farts in his sleep and curl close and feel him sub conciously pull you ntighter to him and when you can look at a man and be in awe of him in so many ways it can't be anything but true love.
