I am so sick and tired of hearing how bad the United States. It's really starting to piss me off in fact. As a country we have done more for this world in general then any other country.
Yes we make mistakes just like every other damn country, but we also bring a lot of good out there with inventions etc. We also try to keep things fair. I once had a history teacher that asked me why i thought the United States got involved so much in other countries affairs my answer stays the same. If you get a political leader like Hitler again hes not going to stop with control over one damn piece of land he is going to need more and more power. Its a proven fact that this is how these guys work. And yeah The US gets involved because what effects other countries ends up effecting us. Also who is it that all these little countries call when in need, the US its the us that worked to help out world hunger and its the US that are always the first there when disaster strikes like the Tsunami
We at least are dependable etc. I for one am proud to be a United States citizen and before these people of other countries start bitching about the United States maybe they should stop and look at the facts.

America has indeed done much, and I think that it is good. However certain issues such as

-The continued intervention on behalf of Israel.
-Your refusal to agree with the Kyoto Protocol.
-The refusal to sign the declaration of child rights.
-Your vast stockpiles of nuclear weaponry and ordinance.
-The vast amount of funds being directed towards military research and ventures.

really piss people, including me, off. Mind you, america is a nice country, but it really needs to clean up its act.

Don't see how stepping up for the people of isreal is a bad thing when they have nobody else to turn to since all their neigbors hate them and want to see them annahilated.
I read something that said we have signed it but have not ratified it, along w/ australia. This protocol from what I gather hurts developed countries and helps undeveloped countries, I mean come on, if your gonna make only certain people do something and not others then that's really F'ed up.
The US has child rights, don't see what the big deal is on signing a UN one. I can not agree with the wording of Principle 4 and 6, which are bias.
Our nuclear stockpile is a deterent. Our military spending is a neccisary program to ensure that the United States of America mantains the most sophisticated, best trained, most dependable, and most capable fighting forces in the world. If you owned a mansion in the slums of NY city would you just have some slob of a security guard protecting your assests, or a highly trained one with all the bells and whistles security system?

Israel - They are extremely agressive and several sanctions against them have been vetoed by the US. I can see why everyone wants them annihlated.
Kyoto Protocol - Why dont you ratify it, its for the environment. Plus, developing countries need help too.
Child Rights - Some states still execute 16 year olds. cough*texas*cough. That is hardly universal child right.
Nuclear Weaponry - A deterrent. Not to mention the fact that if a crazy president comes along then we are pretty much fucked. At least have the decency to develop a total fusion bomb if you absolutley have to have them.
Military Spending - You could be spending that money elsewhere, like helping developing countries, better infrastructure, etc. You can have a military, but seriously, even NASA gets pittance compared to the US army.

i agree with who. If i am not mistaken was it not the United states that came up with children having rights in the first place as in shutting down sweat shops etc. I think it was. I just would really like to know why the United states is hated so much when it seems like everyone wants to come here to learn and work.

-Don't mess with texas cough cough, it's not nice to pick on retarts :D
-I don't pay much attention to what isreal is doing but I could have sworn they were attacked last year....didn't seem to agressive until they were hit first.
-If the Kyoto was a universal thing then perhaps, but it shows favor to certain countries based on population, area, and development.
-Good ole George never let one fly, and he's about as loony as they come. Don't know what a complete fussion bomb would do for us.
-We do help developing countries. The army at least doesn't have as major and frequent faliures in it's programs. Comming from the CG I know about budgitory restraints, of all the uniformed services we have the smallest budget, but that's because we can do more with less. And Nasa can not help keep your manson in the slums protected very well either.

Complete fusion bomb = no nuclear fallout.

Complete fusion bomb = no nuclear fallout.

What would it do for us? It would cost the USA more military spending which you oppose. I know what complete fusion is.

Im saying if you absolutley must insist on spending so much money on TND research, spend it on researching that.

I believe in America. I've never personally lived there myself. Where I do live is a withered husk of what America once was. A place where everything is either heavily regulated or illegal altogether. A place that holds lotteries that nobody ever wins. A country that bullies other countries. A world superpower existing in a world where no superpower should exist. This is not the country I love. This is not America.

I believe in America. America has a-made-a my fortune. And when-a my daughter was born, I raised her in the American way. :D

jaja, mentioning hitler will help the US image.... ignorance rules.

ships with fleeing jewes that were trying to flee from hitler in europe were said to turn away from the harbours in the US, they were not accepted into the US.

Only when hitler threatened to cross the sea did the US, and Canada by the way, liberate my mom here in The Netherlands.

My dad was liberated from a japanese war camp in indonesia by the bombs on japan, however it is known that the japanese were giving up anyway.

So thanks US! pffff , is this guy who started this thread for real? is it dick cheney himself? you poor poor american.... boohoo..... get a fucking life of your own. stop paying taxes. cry baby. i will criticise my government just the same, but it is the US that pull off most shit in the world, so no reason they are scolded at al the time.
