Because both Islam and Christianity are eschatologically irresponsible, deride women, deny the rights of homosexuals, cause fanaticism, and dont do jack shit to stop violence and whatnot. Modern society only came through the rise of secularism.

That's not really fair. Of course it's true, but not all christians and moslems are in that way. I know a few christian people, but they're not irresponsible or racists.

No Im talking about the religions themselves, not the people.

Well yes, but no religion remains identical forever, if the religion say one thing, but the people on earth that control it, or belives in it, disagrees with it usually convert to something else, or change a few things in it.
But I do know that the christianity hasen't changed all to much in the latest milenium, but many people doesn't belive in it the same way any more, so that religions are bad when the people that have them isn't, is not a very good reason to say that the christians need to be educated.

If christians were educated they could see all the flaws and fallacies in their religion, and hoperfull try either to rectify them or join the other side.

Yes, that's a better option, but if the pope and the cardinals and them were educated, maybe they could reformate christianity to a better religion without sins and the other stuff that doesn't make sense.

Ya knowthere are a lot of Muslims out there who do not blow things up and try to kill infidels as the Qur'an instructs, but typically Muslims overwhelmingly EMPATHIZE with the terrorists insteead of with the victims. See Sam Harris's "The End of Faith" for many polls that have been done that show popular support for terrorism in the Middle East.

Don't you think most muslims supports terrorists, and not terrorism. I mean, neither of them is good, but they probably support them more for what they stand for then what they do.

Why atheists need to be educated:
Because they're entirely foolish, arrogant, refuse to listen to anything they disagree with, and hate religious people.

Well Genny, I guess that's cuz the things we disagree with are irrationality and ignorance. Really, I'll listen to anyone's point, but when they don't know what they're talking about, or when the thing they are talking about is based on ABSOLUTELY NO EMPIRICAL EVIDENCE but they insist that it is "truth" then there is NO REASON to listen.
As to your other comments, I'll admit that there is a lot of intolerance toward religious idealism from Atheists, ubt it is only because we have seen that it is harmful to our planet and to our species.

That is not true.
Atheists doesn't refuse to listen to anything they disagree with. Opposite. The point is that we are sceptic becouse were not convinced enough to belive in god or something.
And that we hate religious people is not true either. Some of my best friends are religious.

Well you see...the General refuses to beleive Athiests can be good people...he thinks we are completely arrogant and refuse to listen to anything. Which proves he is ignorant, he doesnt care to listen to our side of it.
General Septem-->I do not see how you can prove all Athiests hate religious people if there are many [even on this forum] who do not. Please explain this to me.

The General Order of Deception (GOD).
The Native American did not believe in God. They believed in Spirits. The so called Christians, (God Pushers) stole their land, took away their language and placed them on Reservations.
To my knowledge, the Catholics sin like Hell then go to confession. (Forgive me Father for I have sinned). The Methodist much the same way. (Please forgive me Father the temptation of evil was just too much). Please don't forget the Southern Baptist who say one thing and do another. Not to mention the Jehovah Whack-offs (telling you that masturbation is a sin, while they beat off looking at a Victoria Secret Catalog).
What a fucking joke.
Also, to this very day. The American Natives still live on Reservations. The so called Religious even took away their Peyote. A substance used during their Religious Rituals which enhanced their visions.
I better Stop Now......starting to go Ape-Shit!

well if you're about to freak out further it's a good thing you stopped...
Thank you for realizing what a joke the Catholic religion is. They are hypocrites and dont practice what they preach [cliche...].It makes me physically sick just thinking about the things they put the Natives aswell as many other societies through..

Perhaps you missed my recent posting in reply to a post, and which you yourself also replied to, in another thread in which I explicitly said I don't think it applies to all atheists?

see the thing is there is no dogma to follow to be an atheist. Being an atheist doesn't require you to believe anything except that the definition states that you don't believe in a deity. Atheists can believe in entirely different things and disagree vehemently on many topics. u can't say Atheists this or Atheists that because there is nothing necessarily unifying.
For myself I am atheist because I attempt to accept nothing on blind faith where there is an alternative. I do not accept supernatural answers where natural ones will suffice. But there are certainly atheists out there who claim atheism for shock value (because they think it is shocking, which is actually a testament to the fact that they are still thinking religiously). There are atheists out there who are atheists for entirely different reasons than me and who draw entirely different conclusions than I. There are atheists who believe that a master race of aliens created us in a lab. That is complete horseshit, as far as things that are provable.
The fact that I even have to identify myself as "one who does no accept bullshit superstitions" is insulting to me. I look forward to a day when the term "atheist" means NOTHING!

I also look forward to the day where being Athiest doesnt mean you have to disagree constantly with those of religion. Where you are not considered ignorant by others because you do not follow their beleifs. I do not understand why people can even find it shocking nowadays to come across an Athiest.
