How do you all enjoy alcohol?

I mean this both in the sense that what kind of drinks do you all like, and how in the hell can you all drink this shit? I mean yeah, I am well aware I probably drank more than the intended amount (aka a fourth the bottle of 40% vodka), but that is besides the point because I know several members on this board like to drink mass amounts of beer and induce themselves into a heavily drunked stupor that I just can't seem to get a grasp upon the concept of being enjoyable. I mean at first yeah it was pretty fun, for like the first 45 minutes or so, but then I really started to trip balls and the room just started spinning my whole life into a dark abyss, onto which point I devoured lasgana from a pan then tripped on the stairs trying to walk up them...basically case in point what I'm saying is that what do you all find so enjoyable about it? Does it bring people together? Do you all like the effects? I mean I can understand coming home after work just reaching into the ever awaiting fridge grabbing that nice frosty beer in the back but I never understood the point of heavy alcohol...so please, enlighten me...

Alcohol is a social drug really, there no real point drinking it alone IMO. Most I've ever had alone is one (sometimes two) while watching a game.

Once you've fgured out feeling sick and forgetting most the night isn't really that fun, you try hit the middle ground most times.

A drunken stupor isn't thatf un, but most of the time getting there is. If you can land yourself in the "getting there" stage then it's all good.

I am retired so not an after work thing, just I like the tase of beer just as others like Pepsi, coke, whatever soft drink that is more socialy acceptable by the bible thumping and tea totaler assholes.

"Duh............."

And if your're lucky, you eventually get tired and take a snooze. If you're unlucky, you keep drinking, black out, wake up and go 'what the hell am I doing here' - hopefully it's not a jail cell or the neighbor's house when your wife kicks you out for something you don't remember. :)
