A lot has been made of the content of the Racist--come in all colors thread.

More than was said has been read into my comments, and it seems everyone has been dragged into this mess.

I read the following and responded to it:

She's doing the big shinny bop backwards today. On air early with CNN to 'discuss her side' saying it was a story back from 24 years ago that she uses to show how she overcame racial prejudice. Was set to be on Fox this afternoon but chickened out - but, she did say that Fox News and the Tea Party have the White House scared and said that the man who demanded her resignation actually said to her "You'll be on Glenn Beck tonight" once this was aired. What?

In her piece she says that it was 'revealed' to her that race wasn't the issue, poverty was. Couple of points here because she goes on to say it IS a black versus white issue still.... Who the hell finally 'revealed' the fact that race wasn't the deciding factor in relationships between people? 1976 the year Jimmah was elected? Did she just NOT pay attention to anything regarding race between 1964 through 1976? Based on her age, was she was raised by racists and her association with the NAACP has done nothing but bolster that belief?

I think the answer is this: She never paid attention then because she didn't want to pay attention and never believed it anyway. She mouthed the words then like she's trying to mouth the words now --- just to save her ass. Which is exactly the point regarding the NAACP and their specious attack against the Tea Party. If you only mouth the words, as the NAACP does, and don't back it up with action, then you're a hypocrite.

If, like the Tea Party, you see these people at your rallies and your fellow patriots ask the offender to take a hike, you're doing the right thing. The problem is, because you're NOT on nationwide TV showing everyone the action your taking, you never get credit for it.

The NAACP takes to the airwaves to make an attempt to marginalize the Tea Party because they want to be relevant to the DNC in a year where their membership simply doesn't give a shit about the mid term elections. After all, their 'base' have no dog in the fight this year - no rallying cry. And, that only proves the NAACP to be not only racists, but hypocrites and tools to be used as the DNC sees fit.

They've sunk so low.

In the Italicized paragraphs the discussion is about the NAACP. In the middle a pronoun was used. If I was supposed to know that "those people " was not the group discussed in the paragraph both before and after it- more specific wording should have been used.

And once again I did not call Patt racist. I am not that passive aggressive. I would have used the word racist. I did call Patt a hypocrite. Even though she's not a Tea Party Member, she was defending a nearly all one race group with racist members, against another nearly all one race group with racist members - by calling them racist. To me the hypocrisy in that is classic and undeniable. Honestly the NAACP calling anyone racist is also hypocritical but no one was defending them.

all the mess made later is regrettable. But as I stated earlier I simply reacted to the words in front of me.

When I asked if Patt knew how she sounded, it was asking if she knew she sounded like a hypocrite.

She read racist into that comment .

In the interest of peace I offer this....

I will not go into the kitchen comments if Patt would admit this whole thing could have been nipped in the bud had she chosen to clarify her statement instead of immediately being venomous

Look,

My first and second posts #26 + #27

the end of Patt's reply to my second post #35

So fuck you and fuck your progressive, stupid shit, ill informed attitude.

If I had a dick, I'd tell you to suck it --- and then tell you to fucking pay ME for the priviledge !!

I didn't call names. I asked a pointed question.

And still you can't read. Great.

If, like the Tea Party, you see these people at your rallies and your fellow patriots ask the offender to take a hike, you're doing the right thing. The problem is, because you're NOT on nationwide TV showing everyone the action your taking, you never get credit for it. Not only is there the highlighted YOUR and FELLOW meaning Tea Party and Tea Party activists, but there is the sentence following the one you hang your hat on that DOES clarify what I was speaking of. Tea Party Activists who are NOT given credit by the media or the NAACP for removing offensive people and their posters from rallies.

Therefore, stuff your assessment. You're equivocating to avoid your own complicity.

With that - I think you still need to gather your thinking and begin to NOT think in terms of black and white.

Doing so produces HAZEL to me. When you avoid that, perhaps I'll call you something else. Until then, NO. For being unable to live as a human being who doesn't see color as a label, you deserve to wear the name most closely associated with your being.
