A month ago I committed the worst possible crime... I listened to the advice of the vet and had Emil neutered. Now he is only half a male cat, with only fifty percent of the energy he once had. He is not as warm as he used to be, nor is he as energetic as before. I have damaged him, all because others said he would be free of aids.

I wouldŽve prefered to keep Emil a hundred percent for a short life, rather than chop his balls off and reduce him to what he is now. I have to leave this forum for a time. I canŽt stand myself for having stripped my cat of his masculinity, what really made him whole.

One day I hope to adopt another male cat, when I have the money. But for now I am too traumatized to spend time here. IŽll have to take it easy because right now I feel like shit. See you guys later.

Neutering a male cat does not take his maleness away from him at all. Did you listen to your vet really?????? It is called preventive health care. He can still live a long and healthy life. It may make him more gentle and then perhaps you can stop slapping him around. That within itself would make for a more normal cat life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! sheesh

Maybe it's because you've been an abusive pet owner.

Fine by me if you vacate the premises. I'm NOT partial to people who hurt defenseless animals just for grins.

I violated my cat by neutering him. All right, heŽll live longer, but he no longer has the enthusiasm he once had. IŽd rather have kept Emil whole for a shorter time, than play god and chops his balls off. Imagine what the fuck would happen if man decided it was acceptable to do the same to his own kind. Where would we be?
