Why is it that record cold seems to follow climate change conferences around, especially ones attended by Al Gore?
Last year in Copenhagen, they had record cold that shattered records and it came within a degree or two of setting the record for coldest temperature ever recorded.
Well this year in Cancun, they have set cold temperature records the last 3 days in a row. See here - the Al Gore Effect. (http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/12/08/gore-effect-strikes-cancun-climate-conference-3-days-in-a-row/)
Of course, now that it is called "climate change", cold weather is also proof of global warming. In fact, all of these phenomenon listed below are proof of man made global warming:
Warmer than normal
Colder than normal
Wetter than normal
Drier than normal
Windier than normal
Calmer than normal
Sunnier than normal
Cloudier than normal
Growing ice packs
Shrinking ice packs
Increase in storms and hurricanes
Decrease in storms and hurricanes
Two words Al Gore never learned nor understood, even though they are quite elementary: Earth wobble.

On behalf of Canada I would like to say “You’re Welcome”. We were done with that particular cold front, so we looked for the most useful place to send it. Sorry to those in the continental US that were forced to deal with it on its way past.

Limbo, can you please schedule Mr. Gore for Central Florida anytime late August or early September, preferrably in September. :D Let me know when he can come and I bet I know someone that can schedule a climate change around him. I heard they said once that he will burn in hell! Oh that was Tipper.
Since it has been colder than normal here this past week and will set more record lows next week, did Al Whore drive through here recently?
But you did forget,
More Flooding than Normal
Less Flooding than Normal
No, no, no, wetter than and drier than does NOT cover it completely.
You know you have to keep these environmentalistic Global Warmers straight you know. Oops, Climate Changers. http://smileys.chitchat247.com/smilies/k0505.gif
Nice post!

Good idea eye, we should book Al Gore for some global warming speeches both in Florida and Arizona in the summer time so we can get some cold weather!!
More on the Gore effect from here (http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/2484692/weather_101_the_al_gore_effect.html):
In Australia, in November 2006, Al Gore visited two weeks before Southern Hemisphere summer began and the Gore Effect struck. According to online reports attributed to The Age (http;//www.theage.com.au), "Ski resort operators gazed at the snow in amazement. Parents took children out of school and headed for the mountains. Cricketers scurried amid bullets of hail as Melburnians traded lunchtime tales of the incredible cold."
Gore spoke in New Zealand prior to going to Australia. Yes, it snowed there, as well.
On another speaking tour, according to the New York Environment News, Gore chose January 15, 2004, one of the coldest days in New York City's history, to rail against the Bush administration and global warming skeptics. Gore told a startled audience, that global warming was causing record cold temperatures.
In March 2007, a snowstorm led to the cancellation of a Capitol Hill media briefing on a Senate climate bill.
And on October 22, 2007 Gore's global warming speech at Harvard University coincided with near 125-year record-breaking low temperatures. Less than a week later, on October 28, the British House of Commons held a marathon debate on global warming during London's first October snowfall since 1922.
True about the flooding. Missed that one.
One other one,
More forest fires than normal
Fewer forest fires than normal
