There were no people idiot. They were unmanned craft. Unmanned craft that landed safely, gathered data, and sent transmissions back to Earth. There was nothing to suggest that a HUMAN couldn't have been inside the craft and lived. And really, lived schmived, we could stick a corpse in the craft and still say "hey, we landed a human on Mars!" Study a little astronomy and you'll learn about possibility.

We went to the moon and guess what!? It's a piece of shit. t wasn't made of cheese, just dust. There is nothing there for us. No wasy to sustain life. No reason to return.
