I always had dreams of my boys going to college until the first one went.
My son goes to a state college because it was one of the cheaper ones at the time. He gets good grades but if i earn a penny more it's usually gone before it reaches the bottom of my pocket.
I just got done buying my son two books out of six that he needed for class and i spent over 300 dollars. I felt like throwing up. I can see maybe at the most 50ty dollars for a book at the damn most but 175.oo dollars for one. My mouth dried out because my chin was dragging the friggin floor. My son also has to work to help pay for his college because i cant afford it. The school caff is called Tollys and you cant find any meal under 4.00 dollars there the four dollar meal consists of a grilled cheese sandwich and a bottle water.
I buy him a lot of soups to get by on because i just can't afford to give him money to go out to eat. They have a small microwave in their room and a frig. It just gets ridiculous and they are in your business from one end to the other it just drives me fricken batty

My niece has lost fifteen pounds being in college. She says she can't afford to eat. She says she misses opening up the refrigator and seeing food in it. College isn't cheap. It pays for our children to get the help they need when they are young. If they have good grades, they will need every grant, scholarship, and graduation gift they receive. My daughter-in-law says she will be at least $65,000 in debt from loans by the time she finishes her master's degree.

I think there should be a United Honkey College Fund, or something similar.
