Survivor - Redemption Island


Day 1. Rob Mariano and Russell Hantz join 16 unknown players as leaders of two tribes.

There is no way either can win. Russell played the best game ever in “Samoa” and still finished second. Second again the following season in “Heroes vs Villains and his tactics won’t work again.

Rob is in for his fourth try in 10 years so there is no way he can win either. His future wife Amber won Survivor “All Stars” which was the 8th season of now 22. Nope no way.




Well, I have been wrong before and I was wrong again this time. Rob won this season and did it masterfully. Russell had played the best game I had ever seen albeit as a villain, but finished second. Rob just played the best social game ever and overall it was the best anyone has ever played this game. He was in control the whole season and the only time I thought he was messing up was when he said he wouldn’t play the Idol on the last time it could be played. He played it, but he didn’t need to. Other than that one thought he had, he played perfect.

I think Matt should have won the 100 large though because he won 10 duels on Redemption Island.

I also think if Phillip had come out at the final tribal council and said, ha, I played y'all like a fiddle with my crazy routine so Rob would take me to the finals thinking he could beat me and now here is what Rob did behind your backs and had Phillip, I mean the "Special Agent" lied all over the place, he could have had a chance. But, he really is that crazy so oh well..... :D

Shock of shocks Eye, I watched the actual show!! Nice that you took the spoiler alert route though. Thanks for that. :)

Yeah, I too thought Matt would get the most favorite 100 grand. But 36% to Rob's 40% was close. I frankly was in shock when Matt lost the last duel - but, I'm glad he was able to set a few records, one dubious, one NOT.

However, no one can doubt that Rob played the best game to date out of 22 seasons. Imagine getting your sub alliances to never speak to one another about you. WOW - that's almost impossible. Truth be told, playing 117 days and on 4 separate occasions is the only way that could have given Rob the know how to pull that off. Russell maybe playing again? I dunno - I do hope someone makes him cry again though. He was never as badass as Johnny Fairplay and certainly NOT as devious.

I am glad though that when in a marital fight, Amber can't pull her win out and verbally fling it at Rob's gonads. I've always wondered if she ever did that. LOL

Nevertheless - Congrat's Boston Rob !!

Johnny Fairplay, I wanted to hurt him for that. Game or no game.

I still think if the "Special Agent" Phillip Sheppard had came out at the final Tribal Council and said, how did you like my act to get to the finals? He still had a shot.

I wonder who the next "2" will be on the next Survivor? Hatch is in jail.....Fairplay? Arrghh! Who? Rupert? Jerri? James?

I think....J.T. and Colby. Hell it's just an off the wall guess. LOL

Oh that's OK Rec. Reality shows are way overboard, but the original is the best. I have whittled down to 3-4 shows once the season starts. Been watching only one this summer.
