I'd never suggest the death penalty for them. It was human error and seemed to be a genuine mistake or gross negligence although in any other job if you caused a death even accidentally you would be charged with manslaughter and face up to life in prison.

The important thing is that we dont accept this an an inevitability of war and that systems that are in place to avoid it are followed so that this cant happen again. If that means throwing them in jail as an example to others then do it.
