Every time I see a child doing something such as this I can only think there is one reason they are so damn good at it. Nobody told them "Oh, you can't do that.". I can imagine there has been a great deal of talent squashed because of that one simple phrase.

My take is that there is always bleed over in the soul from the one that came before. I agree that many are stifled by the now, and with time, those memories pass away as if they never existed. I'm glad that didn't happen with this little girl. Simply by watching how her body moves as the music changes, you can see that this is more than simply learning to play the guitar, she feels the music. That makes for a wonderful combination. I do hope she continues to prosper and to develop the talent that I think she brought back to this plain for further experimentation and sharing. ;)

There are an amazing amount of talented kids out there. But 5 or 50, I will forever be jealous of people with the talent to play guitar well.

Maybe someday after I retire.........Just NOT one of my talents at all. For all my love of music and knowledge of tunes, to play music....Forgeddaboudit.

Could be. But I am grateful for the ear and grateful for the variety it allows me to enjoy too.

http://www.howtokazoo.com/images/EagleFlagKazooCampaign.jpgNah, too complicated, but I was the star in a show with the tamborine and being the lead singer. Think real hard and most can guess what the song was..........

Yep, I was Gene Clark on Mr. Tamborine Man. I was also Art Garfunkle on Sounds of Silence. Made me want to be a rock star. I was good, it was fun, but I had no real musical ability. So that dream went down the crapper.

I'll rethink that kazoo.
